Diablo 4 Season 13’s Best Mythic Farm is Virtually Unbeatable

Diablo 4 Season 13’s Best Mythic Farm is Virtually Unbeatable

Mythic Uniques are some of the strongest weapons in Diablo 4, but they are also among the rarest items in the game as well. Every season, a large portion of Diablo 4 players’ time is spent grinding for the Mythics needed to complete their build. However, with the latest patch in Diablo 4 Season 13, one Mythic farming source has drastically increased its chance of dropping these coveted items.

A new Mythic has joined the pool with the release of Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, giving Season 13 players a new item to chase. El’druin Sword of Justice is the weapon that Tyrael wields in Lord of Hatred’s campaign, but it can be a fantastic addition to the player’s build as well, with its unique ability to reduce the player’s cooldowns when killing Elites. Some of the usual suspects are also meta contenders, such as the Heir of Perdition, The Grandfather, and the Ring of Starless Skies, so it’s worth farming for Mythics in Diablo 4‘s endgame regardless of the player’s build.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred’s Paladin is Officially 1-of-a-Kind

With the release of Lord of Hatred, Diablo 4’s Paladin class has now solidified itself as a standout member of the game’s class roster.

Diablo 4 Season 13’s Butcher Lair Boss is the Ideal Source of Mythics

The Bloodied Butcher is the latest Lair Boss to join Diablo 4, introduced last season as a part of the Season of Slaughter. At the start of Diablo 4 Season 13, the Bloodied Butcher was way too powerful, taking far too much damage to kill to be reliably farmed for the Uniques in its boss Loot Table or even Mythics. After the release of Diablo 4‘s latest update, the Bloodied Butcher has been nerfed, and its Mythic drop rate has also seemingly been increased, making it the perfect spot for that endgame Mythic grind.

In addition to the general Unique pool, the Bloodied Butcher also drops a variety of class-specific Uniques as well. With how powerful the Barbarian is in Diablo 4 Season 13, farming the Bloodied Butcher for Mythics can be a good idea since the boss can also drop Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus and Chainscourged Mail, both of which are worthwhile for Barbarian players. For Warlock players, many of the class’s new Uniques are dropped from the Bloodied Butcher, so kitting out a build focused on Volatility with a Unique like Moloch’s Beating Flame.

How to Get Mythic Drops from the Butcher in Diablo 4 Season 13

Mythics typically only have a slim chance of dropping from Lair Bosses, but the Bloodied Butcher appears to offer a higher than usual chance. After defeating the Bloodied Butcher, the Hoard Chest becomes available and requires a Greater Lair Key for players to access the goods inside. Within this chest are the Uniques and possible Mythics rewards, so players will want to ensure they’ve obtained a few Greater Lair Keys from War Plans in Torment difficulties, or from Lesser Lair Bosses like The Beast in the Ice, Echo of Varshan, and Lord Zir, before challenging the Bloodied Butcher.

To have the best chance of getting a Mythic drop, players will want to farm the Bloodied Butcher on Torment 10 or higher.

War Plans Can Significantly Boost the Chance of Getting Mythic Drops

While the Bloodied Butcher already seems to have a relatively high chance of dropping Mythics on the higher Torment tiers, players can increase their chances of getting a Mythic drop even more through Lord of Hatred’s new War Plans feature. As players progress through War Plans, they can earn upgrade unlocks that let them invest in modifiers for Diablo 4‘s various endgame activities via the War Plans upgrade tree. With the right combination of upgrades on the Lair Boss tree, players can access more Hoard Chests, which means more opportunities for Mythic drops.

Investing in the Lair of Plenty modifier on the left side of the Lair Boss upgrade tree gives players +1 Hoard Chest when they slay a Lair Boss. Additionally, investing in the middle upgrade path of the tree unlocks the potential for Nemesis Lairs to spawn after defeating a standard Lair Boss. Within Nemesis Lairs, Diablo 4 players will have to defeat two different Lesser Lair Bosses at once, but can earn even more drops than before. With the Greater Nemesis upgrade, players have the chance to take on two Greater Lair Bosses at once following the defeat of the previous Nemesis Lair. Essentially, this upgrade allows players to stack Lair Boss fights on top of each other for increasingly valuable rewards, including 10 Hoard Chests once the Ultimate Nemesis Lair is unlocked.

Once all these upgrades are unlocked, Diablo 4 players have an insane Mythic farming route. While it may take some time to upgrade the Lair Boss War Plans to level 5 and unlock all the necessary modifiers, the reward of an easy Mythic farming route is well worth the investment.
