Diablo 4 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in the near future, if a recent Taiwanese rating of the game is anything to go by. Rumors of a Switch 2 port for Diablo 4 have circulated since the console was announced as a massive hardware upgrade to the original Nintendo Switch. Former Diablo boss Rod Fergusson added fuel to the Diablo 4 Switch 2 port fire by teasing that Blizzard was considering bringing it to the console before his departure from the company back in August 2025.
2026 has already been a massive year for Diablo 4, between the launch of the brand-new Lord of Hatred expansion and additions of the Warlock and Paladin classes. Diablo 4 has also participated in the franchise’s 30th anniversary with in-game events for players to enjoy. If a Nintendo Switch 2 port of the game really is on the way, then it would be a fitting way to cap off a strong year for Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Receives Switch 2 Rating in Taiwan
A recently uncovered rating for Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 from the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information board shows that the game was rated back at the end of April, but has gone undiscovered until now. This isn’t the first time that Diablo 4 has been rated for a Nintendo console. A leaked rating from the Indonesian ratings board suggested that Diablo 4 was headed to the original Switch console, but plans may have changed with the release of the much more powerful Nintendo Switch 2.
Diablo 4 received an R rating on Nintendo Switch 2 for violence, horror, and inappropriate language.

While this rating doesn’t confirm that a Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 is on the way, it provides even more evidence that this release is in the works. Typically, when a game gets an official content rating, it is fairly close to releasing. For example, Fable received an official rating in both South Korea and Australia ahead of its February 2027 release date. Given this time between rating and release date, it’s fair to assume Diablo 4 may be ready for release on Switch 2 within the next year.
The perfect venue for a Switch 2 port reveal would be during Blizzcon, which takes place from September 12โ13. With the majority of new Diablo 4 content front loaded at the start of the year, and the next major expansion for the game likely still a couple of years away, a Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 would be the ideal way to bring a new audience into the fold in the meantime.
Diablo and Nintendo have a strong relationship already, with Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 3 available on the Nintendo Switch. The release of Diablo 3 on the Switch even came with a unique Treasure Goblin amiibo, as well as Nintendo-themed cosmetics for players to use in-game. A Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 would likely also offer Nintendo fans some kind of unique bonus for picking up the game on the console.
