Diablo: The Infernal Path has a confirmed release window for fans who want to check out this new iteration of the franchise. Of course, it’s a pretty big swing for Blizzard, but Blizzard is capable of big swings. Recent leaked emails reveal that Blizzard is the best performing gaming company under the wider Xbox umbrella, achieving back-to-back years of growth and its third-highest revenue year in history, and hopefully that translates to a lot of news coming out of BlizzCon.
BlizzCon is slated to take place on September 12 and 13, with some kind of news for all of its major video game franchises: Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch. There’s a lot to go around, as some reveals will be majors and others will be minor, and at least in the gaming industry, Diablo: The Infernal Path is the latter. Still, there’s a good chance that Blizzard acknowledges the attraction at the event.
Visit Diablo: The Infernal Path in Fall 2026
This Halloween season is about to get a lot darker for Diablo fans, with Sanctuary making the jump from screens into a full-scale haunted attraction this Fall 2026. Diablo: The Infernal Path will debut at Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends and Kings Dominion’s Halloween Haunt, marking the first official Diablo haunted maze, complete with beloved monstrosities from the franchise (up to and include Diablo himself). Other known appearances include The Bucher, Duriel, Baal, and of course, Lilith and Mephisto since they take center stage in Diablo 4 and its DLC.

The experience was created specifically for Cedar Point in Ohio and Kings Dominion in Virginia, with each park getting its own version of the attraction. As such, fans can expect different experiences to be shared online. Corrupted environments, demonic imagery, and tight encounters are designed to bring the atmosphere of Diablo into the sort of close-quarters horror that Halloween attractions are built around. How well it succeeds remains to be seen, but it’s a unique expansion of the franchise, that’s for sure.
The maze will be part of both parks’ Halloween events and will be available with the respective Haunted Attractions Pass. Blizzard and Six Flags are positioning Diablo: The Infernal Path as a way for fans to experience the beloved setting of Sanctuary outside the games, combining the series’ dark mythology with the traditional scares associated with HalloWeekends and Halloween Haunt. Considering Diablo has spent decades building a world filled with demons, torture, and things that absolutely should not be hiding in the dark, it makes sense—even if it remains somewhat unexpected.

Whether Diablo: The Infernal Path appears at BlizzCon remains to be seen or not, but Diablo is expected to be there all the same. A recent leak suggests an announcement (or “shadow drop”) for Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 will take place at BlizzCon, and hopefully, there’s still another secret or two that’ll appear.
