Ravensburger has revealed that the popular Disney Lorcana trading card game will receive a digital client, with fans able to sign up early for the first playtest. Disney Lorcana recently celebrated its third anniversary during the ongoing D23 fan event.
Lorcana has been a huge success for Ravensburger since the Disney TCG made its official debut in 2023. The game quickly caught on with fans and became one of the fastest-growing TCGs in the world, with Lorcana already receiving 13 full sets spanning some of Disney’s most popular properties. The TCG has expanded far beyond its classic Disney roots in recent sets, welcoming franchises from Pixar. While there are Toy Story video games, the franchise is now in Lorcana alongside the likes of Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles. Now, Lorcana fans are officially getting a brand-new way to play the card game in the near future.
Disney Lorcana is Getting a Digital Client
Ravensburger officially revealed the upcoming digital client for Lorcana during a panel at D23. The announcement confirmed that the digital release will feature “every Disney Lorcana TCG card,” suggesting that even cards that have rotated out of Lorcana‘s Core Constructed format will be available. The company revealed that the Lorcana app will be supported on both desktop and mobile clients at launch, allowing fans to play the Lorcana TCG on the go or at home on their PCs. Ravensburger did not confirm a full release date for the Lorcana digital client, though fans can sign up now to be notified about the first playtest.

The reveal of a digital client for the Disney trading card game comes amidst an exciting 2026 roadmap for Lorcana. Ravensburger debuted the game’s thirteenth full expansion in July with the release of Attack of the Vine, featuring a wealth of new cards from beloved properties like Monsters Inc, Turning Red, and Up. Lorcana has already confirmed one popular property coming to the game later in 2026 as well, with a new set in the second half of the year set to add the first cards based on Coco.
Lorcana received plenty more reveals during the D23 panel alongside the new digital client. Lorcana is set to officially launch its first collector boosters in early 2027, debuting the full-foil packs with the release of the Into The Inkdark set. The collector boosters will also contain a brand-new rarity with the addition of Illustrious cards, teasing a stunning version of classic Disney villain Maleficent as the first card in the rarity. The game will also debut a brand-new product in its Curator’s Collection line in October 2026, releasing a Beauty and the Beast collection with new artwork of characters like Belle and Gaston.
D23 featured plenty of exciting announcements for fans of many different Disney properties, including one of its most popular game franchises. Kingdom Hearts 4 received a brand-new trailer during the festivities, showing off a world coming to the game based on the previously mentioned Coco. The next main-series entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise will also give players even more options for playable characters, confirming that fans will be able to play as Mickey, Donald, or Goofy within the game. Between Lorcana‘s new client and Kingdom Hearts 4, Disney has some high-profile game releases on the way for its many fans.
