How To Find Lifetaker Greatsword

Beren in Dragon's Dogma 2

There are a few ways of acquiring the Lifetaker Greatsword. One of them is by completing a quest in Beren’s Final Lesson. First, make your way to Borderwatch Outpostfrom Melve. To the west of the Outpost, you can find Moonglow Garden, where Beren is located. Approaching him will initiate the Quest “Claw Them Into Shape.”

In this quest, Beren will ask you to gather three weapons for him that you can buy for 850 Gold each at the Outpost nearby. After giving him the weapons, you will then have to make your way to Vernworth, where Humphrey will approach you and ask for a good instructor, to which you will inform him of Beren. Making your way back to Beren after this conversation will allow you to spar with him in a ring knockout match. The outcome of the spar does not affect the quest, so you do not have to worry. After the sparring is done, you will have to follow Beren to help soldiers who a group of goblins has attacked. Once you reach the location, the survivor will tell Beren about a Cyclops, and this will be the end of the quest.

After completing this quest, make your way back to Moonglow Garden, and you can talk to Beren again. However, during your conversation, a Cyclops will appear, and you will have to deal with it.

After dealing with the Cyclops, go talk to Beren. Your next objective will be to speak with Beren, but this might require you to come back the next day. You can pass the time by going to the Campsite nearby. After reaching the Moonglow Garden again, you can speak to Beren to complete the quest and get the Lifetaker Greatsword as a reward, along with 1600 XP and 4500 Gold.

Where To Buy Lifetaker Greatsword

You can also buy the Lifetaker Sword if you do not plan on completing the Beren Quests. To reach the Smithy who sells the weapon, you will have to make your way to Checkpoint Rest Town, which is a main story location in the “Nation of the Lambent Flame” Quest. Checkpoint Rest Town can be accessible via Oxcart at the Western Ox Station in Vernworth. Once you reach the town, simply head to Celeste Smithy, located in the center of the town. She will be selling the Lifetaker Greatsword for 17000 Gold, along with other weapons that you can check out as well.
