Now, EA Sports is sharing some major news about College Football‘s 2026 installment.

EA Sports shared a new video about the development of College Football 27 on its official social media channels. EA Sports is making changes to player equipment in College Football 27, introducing everything from hanging mouth guards and reflective visors to resizing player helmets and shoulder pads. The video teases more than 100 equipment parts that will be added to the franchise, including multiple new options for EA Sports College Football‘s coaches, such as branded shoes, hoodies, and pants. College Football 27 is currently scheduled to launch on July 9.
Fit the 9 games into the grid.
The multitude of new equipment options is set to add even more realism to the game’s depiction of top-level college football. EA Sports’ deal with the NCAA to secure name, image, and likeness rights allows the developer to accurately represent some of the best players in the collegiate system. College Football 26 included 134 different schools from the NCAA’s ten major conferences, plus Delaware and Missouri State, which joined the FBS before the start of the 2025 season. College Football 27 will also include more than 120 different mascots as part of its Mascot Mashup mode.
EA Sports College Football 27 has plenty of upgrades coming to the franchise beyond its equipment changes. The core football gameplay for the series will be receiving some notable updates in College Football 27, with 22 new defensive playbooks, improved wide receiver vs. defensive back battles, and much more. EA Sports College Football‘s Dynasty Mode is also getting a major overhaul with the addition of the Dynasty Blueprint, tasking players with managing their Dynasty Points to improve their team’s coaching staff, facilities, and NIL.
EA Sports College Football 27 will launch just over a month before the developer’s other annual football game. Madden NFL 27 is scheduled to debut in early August, with Madden‘s Franchise Mode set to receive some of the biggest changes in the game. The new “persona engine” is set to bring major updates to player behavior, negotiations, and managing free agency, among others. EA Sports has also already revealed its cover athlete for Madden NFL 27, with Caleb Williams becoming the first Chicago Bears player to appear on the standard edition cover. Football fans should have plenty to look forward to from EA this summer, with both annual franchises set to receive some huge upgrades.
