Embracer Group teased that it’ll be releasing a mysterious, “long-awaited” game sometime during the next fiscal year.
This (via Shinobi602 on X) came as part of the company’s Q3 2025 interim report, which informs investors on how the company at large is doing. While providing an outlook of the upcoming fiscal year, the report states, “we look forward to one long-awaited, major, in-house developed and in-house published title together with a range of important mid-sized titles.”
For Embracer Group, the next fiscal year will take place between April 2026 and March 2027. That means we should expect a high-profile game from one of the studios and from one of the publishers the troubled gaming conglomerate owns. The fact that the report won’t directly name the game makes it even more mysterious.
One of the few publicly announced Embracer Group games currently within that window is the Gothic 1 Remake, which received a June 5 release date today. Another is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which comes out later this year. The fact that those are announced and already titled remakes means it’d be odd for Embracer not to name them directly in its report, though.
Looking at the upcoming game lineups from Embracer-owned game publishers like Plaion, THQ Nordic, and Crystal Dynamics, a few games come to mind. They include Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which has a 2027 release window, and the long-teased Darksiders 4. Embracer Group mentions those games elsewhere in the report, though.
There’s a real possibility that the game Embracer refers to here is still unannounced. Whatever the game is, we’ll likely learn more about it soon if it’s going to be released sometime over the next year or so.
