Epic Games Store Users Have Until June 5 to Claim Surprise New Game Completely Free of Charge

Epic Games Store users have until June 5 to claim and keep Bunny Guys, an 8-player PvP platformer that has serious Only Up! and Fall Guys vibes. Unlike the Epic Games Store’s official weekly freebies, however, Bunny Guys is being given away directly by its developer. As a result, many users may overlook the offer since it is unlikely to receive the same level of attention and publicity as the store’s official giveaways.

In the past, the Epic Games Store’s weekly freebies were almost the only way for users to claim games at no cost. However, a recent change appears to have enabled developers and publishers to run their own promotions with 100% discounts without having to follow the storefront’s giveaway schedule. As a result, another indie title called Steampunks vs. Skeletons is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store for the first 1,000,000 people who download it. Now, Bunny Guys has joined the list, giving users yet another chance to pick up a game for the tempting price of $0.

Which is Better? Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion vs. Epic Games Store’s Weekly Free Games

The Epic Games Store is renowned for its free game giveaways, but how do they compare to the free games given away on Steam, its biggest competitor?

Save 100% on Bunny Guys via the Epic Games Store

Earlier in May, Bunny Guys was available to keep for free on Steam for a limited time. Now, Epic Games Store users have their chance to add it to their libraries at no cost, as the game is currently discounted by 100% until June 5, 2026. Developed by Witte Studio, Bunny Guys is a PvP platformer that pits up to eight players against each other in a race to reach the top before everyone else. At its regular price of around $5, claiming Bunny Guys through this promotion may not result in massive savings. Even so, it could be a fun addition to the libraries of players looking for a new friendslop game.

Bunny Guys supports cross-platform play, allowing friends to join the same matches regardless of whether they claimed the game through the Epic Games Store or Steam promotions.

PvP is not the only mode available in Bunny Guys. The game also features a solo mode in which players race against the clock, attempting to clear its parkour challenges as quickly as possible. In that regard, Bunny Guys is quite comparable to Only Up!, the viral indie game that challenged players to climb a lengthy obstacle-filled course without making mistakes.

According to the developer, each run in Bunny Guys can take anywhere from 60 to 120 minutes on average. This might be slightly longer than similar PvP parkour games like Fall Guys. However, the actual length of a match depends on the playstyle of those in the lobby. If there are more sabotage-oriented competitors, reaching the end will likely be a slow and painstaking process.

Lucky for PC users, Bunny Guys is not the only free game they can claim right now. Between Steam and the Epic Games Store, there are at least three other freebies available. On Steam, Drift86 is currently free to keep, with the promotion ending on June 3. On the Epic Games Store, this week’s free offerings are Calico and LoneStar, both available at a 100% discount until June 4. Once these promotions end, Epic will also reveal its next two mystery games for June.
