A new Fallout 76 event is officially live, offering players a chance to grab various in-game rewards until June 15. The newly introduced promotion is part of a wider-reaching initiative aiming to highlight some recent content additions to Fallout 76.

The long-running live-service RPG launched its 25th season, Appalachia Under Siege, on June 2. The headline addition in the latest Fallout 76 update is the Infestations system, which introduces a new type of recurring activity that randomly leaves some locations overrun by individual enemy factions. Bethesda has framed Infestations as more than a content addition, presenting them as a potential blueprint for catering to groups while simultaneously keeping both solo and team-based exploration as fresh as possible, even for players who had already spent thousands of hours exploring every nook and cranny of post-apocalyptic Appalachia.

That focus on turning familiar parts of Appalachia into repeatable flashpoints is also the central premise of P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol, a new in-game event Bethesda launched on June 7. The event is accompanied by a small promotion awarding various digital items in exchange for player engagement. New rewards will be available each day through June 15 and can be claimed via the Fallout 76 Atomic Shop. The first available items are the Abraxo Paint for the T-51 Power Armor and Clean Mr. Fuzzy Headwear.
