Fallout: Sole Survivor has now been officially revealed. The Fallout franchise remains one of the most popular in all of gaming. The classic Fallout games have been praised as some of the best isometric RPGs of all time, and Bethesda’s Fallout 3 and 4 both earned widespread critical acclaim. Then there’s Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas, which has become a fan favorite and the one that many cite as their top game in the series. Even the once-abhorred Fallout 76 has turned things around and has built a dedicated community.
Between those games and the various Fallout spin-offs and projects like the Fallout TV series on Amazon, it’s clear that the Fallout enthusiasm isn’t going to wane any time soon. While most fans are likely satisfied with playing the games and watching the show, others may want to take their fandom a step further and buy Fallout merchandise. Luckily for those individuals, a rather impressive figure from Sideshow Collectibles based on Fallout 4 is set to release in the very near future.
Fallout: Sole Survivor Figure
Sideshow and Threezero are releasing a new Sole Survivor figure based on the Fallout 4 protagonist. Priced at $180, the figure is expected to launch within the next few weeks to months, and those interested can join a waiting list. The figure comes with the male version of the Fallout 4 protagonist and is about 12 inches tall with a fully-posable body. The figure comes with a boiler suit, holster, bracers, pouches, boots, Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV, interface card for the Pip-Boy, Big Boy, Kellogg’s Pistol, Charisma Vault Boy Bobblehead, one mysterious serum, and three interchangeable hands: relaxed, fists, and gripping. The figure’s level of detail is impressive and while $180 is definitely a steep asking price, it will be worth it for some hardcore fans of the franchise.

Those more concerned about future new game releases have plenty to look forward to as well. Bethesda recently laid out its Fallout roadmap, highlighting its big plans for the franchise for the next decade or so. Among the announcements was confirmation that Bethesda is preparing Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters. Specific release dates for the remasters were not announced, but it’s believed that the Fallout 3 remaster will release next year to coincide with the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
2027 will also see the release of a Fallout 3 prequel via the Raven Rock expansion for Fallout 76. Fans can also look forward to New Vegas developer Obsidian making a new Fallout game, though details on what exactly that is remains to be seen. Some are expecting a direct sequel to New Vegas, but others think that Obsidian is going to do a Fallout game set in New Orleans instead. Of course, Obsidian could do something completely unexpected as well, so fans will just have to wait and see what the studio has in store.
Fallout 5 is also on the way. Bethesda first confirmed Fallout 5 years ago, but we now know that the game is officially in the pre-production phase. Right now, Bethesda’s focus is on The Elder Scrolls 6, but Fallout 5 will be its next major project after that. Based on Bethesda’s release cadence over the years, fans shouldn’t expect to see Fallout 5 until some time in the 2030s, however.
