Fantasy Stardew Valley-Like Fields of Mistria Reveals 1.0 Release Date
NPC Studio

Fields of Mistria has locked down a 1.0 release date: August 5, 2026. While the end of its early access period is a significant milestone for the Stardew Valley-like farming sim, the 1.0 launch will not mark the end of Fields of Mistria‘s development.

Developed by Chicago-based NPC studio, Fields of Mistria is one of the most successful early access farming sims of the 2020s. Although it appeals to many of the same sensibilities as Stardew Valley, it places a stronger emphasis on life-sim elements instead of centering its design on a time-management farming loop. Its anime aesthetic and magic-driven combat have also helped distinguish it from the many Stardew Valley-inspired titles that have flooded digital storefronts since ConcernedApe’s landmark 2016 release.

Fields of Mistria Early Access Ending After Exactly 2 Years

NPC Studio officially announced the 1.0 version of its hit farming sim on June 6. Scheduled for August 5, the upcoming update is due to debut two years to the day after Fields of Mistria originally launched in early access. The 1.0 update will introduce plenty of changes, including raising the NPC Heart cap from eight to ten, thus significantly expanding on the game’s already sizable pool of friendship and romance events. Similar to Stardew Valley, players will be able to propose romanceable NPCs after maxing their affection, which will trigger a one-time wedding event. Marriage interactions and children are also arriving as part of the upcoming patch.
