The final reveal of Summer Game Fest is the official title and first look trailer of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Now, there’s no questioning it; the official title is Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. While many fans hoped it would be there, it wasn’t certain until the final moment came, and fans got their first official look at the game.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation releases in Spring 2027, although an exact release date has yet to be narrowed down, and the good news is that it is releasing worldwide. Both Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth initially launched on PlayStation consoles before coming to other platforms, like Xbox, but there’s no extended wait for them this time around.
Square Enix Already Knows When It Plans on Releasing Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3
According to the trilogy’s director, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 has an internal release date, but Square Enix is reluctant to share.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation First Look Trailer
The trailer gives fans a look at what to expect from the final game in the remake trilogy. Fans can see it all for themselves in the trailer above, but it focuses on Sephiroth, gives fans a look at the airship Highwind, shows off some combat, as well as Final Fantasy 7‘s Weapons, the protectors of the planet. The outro is a thematic statement of Cloud expressing his resolve, which is said to be the core theme of the game. “Each companion confronts their own destiny and finds the resolve to march toward the final battle,” according to the devs.

After the official trailer, Vincent Valentine’s actor, Matt Mercer, appeared on stage to talk through some of the new gameplay enhancements and features. That’s what’s included in the second trailer (seen below). What was once a barren wasteland of info for the game is now a brimming forest, with tons of news, screenshots, and footage out in the wild.
Of course, that’s barely an appetizer for the official release of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, which will obviously be the last step with this marketing approach. Fans can expect even more reveals between now and the official Spring 2027 release window, but assuming that some games delay to get out of GTA 6‘s way in November, it seems like that window will be busy. However, if there’s one game that shouldn’t really fear GTA 6, it’s Final Fantasy 7.
Anything can happen between now and release, but what’s immediately clear is that fans are in for a treat.
