A new trailer has been released for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, offering a glimpse at some of the massive Weapons that Cloud and the rest of the game’s cast will face in the finale. Final Fantasy 7 Revelation marks the third and last chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, which began back in 2020. The three games retell the narrative from the 1997 game, with several significant changes found throughout.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is set to be released in spring 2027, but Square Enix has yet to reveal a set release date for the game. One thing the publisher has conveyed is that this chapter will arrive the same day on all platforms. Both Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth were timed exclusives on PlayStation, but Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 fans won’t have to wait for the third chapter in the trilogy.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Gets a Bold New Trailer
The new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation begins with Rufus addressing the impending meteor that threatens to destroy the world, as well as the various Weapons. The trailer establishes that these Weapons are actually the planet’s guardians, but since the planet sees humans as a danger, these Weapons threaten to kill everyone. Ruby Weapon, Emerald Weapon, and Ultima Weapon are all highlighted in the trailer, which also offers a closer look at Final Fantasy 7‘s beloved Highwind.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth ends at a pivotal point in the original game, with one party member facing their ultimate fate. Those familiar with the original version should have a good idea of where things are heading now, and the latest trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation has a pretty massive scale. The entire planet is at risk, and it’s up to Cloud and his surviving friends to stop the Weapons from ending humanity, and Sephiroth from finding success at the same time.
So far, reception to the new trailer has been largely positive. While some fans were hoping to see Zack and Aerith make an appearance, what was shown by Square Enix is clearly generating a lot of excitement. The original Final Fantasy 7 still holds a special place in the hearts of a lot of gamers, but the remake trilogy has received a lot of praise from fans for how it has handled the material. In particular, the redesigned Weapons seem to be a lot more intimidating than they were back in 1997. Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth both did an impressive job modernizing a lot of the designs from the original, and it seems that will continue with Revelation.
