A game called Targeted – 10 Days is free to keep on the Epic Games Store for a limited time. In terms of gameplay, Targeted – 10 Days has a lot in common with games like The Exit 8, which are also known as anomaly-finding titles. That said, the Epic Games Store freebie puts a spin on the genre with its Mafia-esque theme and hardcore modes for fans of the genre looking for a challenge.
The official Epic Games Store weekly giveaways currently feature one free title, Caravan SandWitch, which will remain free to claim until August 20. The promotion for Targeted – 10 Days, however, is not part of those weekly freebies and comes directly from developer Glitchy Frame Studio.
Targeted – 10 Days Is Free to Keep Right Now
Players have until August 31 at 10:00 AM to claim Targeted – 10 Days for free and keep it permanently. Without the discount, the game is listed at $199.99 on the Epic Games Store, which is likely a mistake or a gag, as its Steam listing shows a price of about $3 USD. Regardless of the base price, PC users can currently claim this first-person indie game at no cost.

Similar to most anomaly-hunting games, Targeted – 10 Days requires players to find tiny differences in each playthrough to successfully complete the session. The player takes on the role of a former Mafia member who’s being hunted down by other members of the family after being accused of betrayal. Targeted – 10 Days also offers some enticing features for fans of the genre. For instance, an “impossible” hard mode requires players to maintain a successful streak for 99 days to beat the game. There’s also a speedrunning feature that lets players compete with friends by trying to finish each run as quickly as possible.
Part of Targeted – 10 Days‘ replay value comes from its extensive list of anomalies. According to developer Glitchy Frame Studio, the game features 230 details that can pop up randomly, making each playthrough unique. Since some runs, like the 99-day challenge, could take longer to complete, the game also has a save-and-exit feature that allows players to return and continue from where they left off. That said, Targeted – 10 Days is also a perfect game for short sessions, as its easy modes can be completed in a few minutes.
Other Free PC Games to Claim in August and September
For those specifically looking for freebies on the Epic Games Store, Cardpocalypse Standard Edition will be available for free on August 20. On the same day, Albion Online, a free-to-play title, will offer a premium cosmetic bundle worth over $55 at no cost. Meanwhile, things don’t look quite as promising for Steam’s August promotions, but that could change at any time.
