Fortnite Reaches First Community Event Goal

Fortnite Reaches First Community Event Goal

Fortnite fans were able to tick off the first goal in the Save the World community event within a day of its launch, granting Kyle’s Construction spray to those who participated. Save the World was originally what Fortnite was meant to be all about. Epic Games released Battle Royale, one of the company’s biggest successes to date, due to the genre’s increase in popularity. The number of players went through the roof, and eventually, the company had to get a separate team on it. It ended up shifting most of its focus away from Save the World.

While Battle Royale was always available to play for free, players had to purchase a Founder’s Pack in order to gain early access to Save the World. It was supposed to become free-to-play once it fully launched. However, when Epic Games removed the Founder’s Pack from the store, it simply replaced it with another type of pack; access remained exclusive to those who purchased Save the World Packs in Fortnite, such as the Cuddle Buns Pack and the Ninja Sarah Pack.

With this pack, players can use the Sarah model from Save the World in Fortnite and unlock the campaign game mode – here’s how it works.

Nearly nine years after its launch, Save the World will finally become free-to-play, and to celebrate this, Epic Games is hosting a community event, with the goal to get one million players to register for the launch of Save the World on April 16. The Save the World community goal event went live on March 12, and players were quickly able to reach the first of three milestones the following day. The first milestone happened at the 30 percent mark, which means over 300,000 players have visited the website and registered.

  • Milestone #1 – Kyle’s Construction spray
  • Milestone #2 – Save the World Jess banner
  • Milestone #3 – Snowstrike hero

Players have over a month to register before the event ends and the rewards expire, so it is clear that the Save the World community goal event is off to a great start. However, it is possible that the goal meter will rise a bit slower from now on. These events tend to get a strong start, as the most active players that keep up with all updates usually sign up as soon as they can. Casual fans, on the other hand, aren’t as on top of the newsfeed, so they might take longer to register. It’s likely that fans who are hoping to get all of the event rewards won’t have to fret, as Fortnite has an incredible amount of active players. Despite launching almost a decade ago, Fortnite continues to break player records every year with its refreshing content and fun game modes. If the number of registered players continues to rise steadily, players can expect to get all community goal event rewards by Sunday.

Since the event hasn’t been live for long, many players haven’t had the opportunity to register yet and might be wondering if they’ve already lost their chance to claim Kyle’s Construction spray. They will be happy to know that rewards aren’t locked once a milestone is reached. Players are able to register for the Save the World launch until April 16, so as long as they log into the official Save the World website before this date, they will be eligible to receive all unlocked rewards. Kyle’s Construction spray and Save the World Jess banner are usable items in Battle Royale, which means they will be immediately added to players’ lockers once the milestone is reached. Snowstrike hero, on the other hand, is exclusive to Save the World, meaning only those who purchased STW will be able to claim it before April 16.
