The entire state of Leonida, including the beloved Vice City and surrounding counties, leaks online for Grand Theft Auto 6. Combined with the recent GTA 6 gameplay leak from the same source, it seems that Rockstar and Take-Two may have a serious problem at hand—assuming that any of this is real. The two companies have been taking down posts related to the gameplay and this map, so it seems to be legit, possibly derived from older builds of Grand Theft Auto 6.

It’s worth noting that this leaker isn’t simply posting, however, instead also asking folks to buy crypto support for continued leaks. Even if it is all legit leaks, it’s best to avoid this in case there is some kind of scam involved. GTA 6 is a prime target for scammers after all. And chances are, especially if these are legit, that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive will take action against the leaker sooner rather than later. The last major leaker to breach Rockstar security is in custody.

Grand Theft Auto 6’s Map Leaks Vice City, Leonida, and The Whole Area

The map of Grand Theft Auto 6, per the reportedly leaked image, is similar in structure to Grand Theft Auto 5 and is a lot like the fan mapping project. As such, it would not be surprising to learn this was based on that, but Rockstar and Take-Two moving to take down posts indicates it may be deeper than that. Per the map, Vice Dale County and Vice City are huge, with portions and towns spreading out down the Leonida Strats (Florida Keys), to Mariana County, and more. There are clearly a few swamp areas, gulfs, and islands, with one image depicting “Dalton Island.” To the north, the forests and/or swamps apparently become thicker.

Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.

As a whole, from top down, it seems GTA 6 will have fans explore Lummox County, Kelly County, Leonard County, Vice Dale County, and Mariana County. Other notable, generalized areas include the aforementioned Leonida Strats and Gulf of Leonida. Of course, it’s worth noting that seeing this map and playing on it are two different experiences. It stands to reason that traveling from the Strats to Lummox County could take a significant amount of time, but perhaps the entire map can be crossed in 5 minutes. While this is the biggest look yet, assuming it is real, there’s still valuable information missing from this leak.

And hopefully, this valuable information is addressed in the upcoming Netflix Extended Look. Set for August 27, Netflix, Rockstar, and Take-Two will showcase an extended trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 (perhaps more) at 3 pm ET. It’s uncertain if that premiere is related to the gameplay or map leak, especially since the gameplay has to be from an older build, but the timing is hard to ignore. For now, though, fans should keep in mind that this could be some kind of scam or hoax, treat it properly, and wait for an update.

Once upon a time, GTA 6 rumors could go weeks or months or years without verification. This one may not be confirmed or de-confirmed on August 27, but what we see then will no doubt set the tone for the rest.
