Grand Theft Auto 6 Pre-Order Guide: All Editions, Prices, Bonuses, and FAQs

It’s been a long, long wait, but Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders are finally here on June 25. However, before you throw your wallet at Rockstar Games for the newest GTA in 13 years, you might want to check out some essential information. There are two versions of GTA 6 to buy: Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition, and despite being $100, you might want to consider Ultimate Edition, and here’s why.

GTA 6 Rumours Most Likely To Be Officially Confirmed

This collection of GTA 6 rumors have a higher chance of being true than most, and here’s why.

Should You Buy Grand Theft Auto 6 Ultimate Edition? (All Bonuses, Explained)

The Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost $100, and it features an abundance of exclusive vehicles, weapons, and apparel that you won’t get with the Standard Edition. Below, we’ll showcase some of the content you’ll be missing out on if you don’t buy the Ultimate Edition:

Rideout Customs Mod Shops are exclusive to the Ultimate Edition, meaning you won’t be able to alter the customization of vanilla vehicles if you do not own the Ultimate Edition.

One-Eyed Willie’s is also exclusive to the Ultimate Edition, which is where you can make modifications to off-road vehicles, which will be great for the swamp areas.

Sara’s Unisex Salon is also exclusive to owners of the Ultimate Edition, which means that if you do not own the Ultimate Edition, you cannot get signature salon styles for Jason and Lucia, which include facial hair (for Jason), makeup, and nails (for Lucia).

The Stock 305 Clothing Store is another exclusive for those who purchase the Ultimate Edition, which contains various and unique looks for Jason and Lucia that you won’t be able to get anywhere else.

The Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor is exclusive to Ultimate Edition, so if you want to get over 50 signature tattoos for Jason and Lucia from the FAILE artist collective, you’re going to need to get the Ultimate Edition.

There’s an exclusive Gang Compound to the Ultimate Edition known as the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store, where you can raid a Southside Vice City gang and escape with some special items and distinct contraband.

The Classic Car Collection Special Commission also comes with the Ultimate Edition, and this is where you can track down a variety of abandoned classic and work-in-progress vehicles, revitalize them to their former glory, and sell them to a local fixer, Wyman.

The Ultimate Edition also includes other goodies that aren’t as important as exclusive missions and stores, but they’re still worth mentioning below:

  • ’95 Grotti Cheetah.
  • Army fatigue-tinged Dinka Enduroa Motorcycle and Crest Kayak.
  • ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy.
  • Pink-and-blue Shitzu Squalo boat.
  • Paradise Garage in Watson Bay (which also has a weapon locker).
  • Exclusive mods for Jason’s Vapid Ganado low-riding pickup.
  • Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers.
  • Personalized Engravings for Jason’s Girardi ES9 Pistol and Lucia’s Klose K17 Pistol.
  • Goodtime Gear (Macca the Gator outfits).
  • Exclusive Outfits, Tattoos, and more.
  • ’55 Vapid Stanier Vehicle
  • Ocean Beach Garage (which also has a weapon locker).
  • Jason’s chic linen suit and Lucia’s red sequin mini dress.
  • Tropical pattern gun camo inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s palm tree button-up shirt.

Considering GTA 6 Ultimate Edition is only $20 more than the base version, and it comes with an exclusive Gang Compound, Special Commission, along with 5 exclusive stores, 5 vehicles, and multiple outfits and weapon skins, I’d recommend getting the Ultimate Edition.

Should You Buy Grand Theft Auto 6 Standard Edition? (Pre-Order Bonuses, Explained)

The Standard Edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 costs $80. It still comes with the base game, which is set to be the deepest and most immersive GTA yet (in Rockstar Games’ own words). The only thing you’ll be missing is the exclusive add-ons mentioned above, but the lack of these bonuses won’t hinder your experience in any way.

Pre-Ordering the Standard Edition still rewards you with the Vintage Vice City Pack (so long as you purchase before November 20). This pack comes with the ’55 Vapid Stanier Vehicle, Tommy Vercetti’s camo pack, and unique outfits and styles for Jason and Lucia (shown above).

If you don’t want the bonuses mentioned in the Ultimate Edition, then you should still purchase the Standard Edition. The $20 difference won’t make it so that you’re missing out on heaps of content, but you won’t be able to access certain shops or play two unique activities.

If you can’t currently afford the Ultimate Edition, then don’t worry; if you change your mind at a later date, you can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Pre-Order FAQs (Before You Buy)

What Console is Best to Play GTA 6 On?

Rockstar Games and PlayStation have confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will be the best platform to play GTA 6 on. This isn’t just because of the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, but also because of the PS5’s ultra-high-speed SSD.

Does GTA 6 Come With GTA Online?

GTA 6 is a single-player experience, which means that Grand Theft Auto Online 2 will release separately or at a later date (more information is expected to be revealed in the coming months).

Does GTA 6 Have a Physical Copy?

You can purchase a physical copy of GTA 6, but it will not come with a disc. Instead, you will receive a physical box with a code inside that contains your digital copy.

Will GTA 6 Be 60 FPS?

While performance hasn’t been shown just yet, GTA 6 will likely come with a Performance and Cinematic mode that will allow you to play in both 60 FPS and 30 FPS.

When Can You Preload GTA 6?

GTA 6 can be preloaded on November 12.

Is GTA 6 Coming to PC and Switch?

GTA 6 is launching exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There has been no confirmation of a PC and Nintendo Switch 2 port. While PC players should be able to play a few months later, a Switch port seems unlikely.

When is GTA 6 Releasing and Will it Be Delayed?

Grand Theft Auto 6 releases worldwide on November 19, 2026, and considering pre-orders are live and marketing is about to ramp up tremendously, it’s almost 99% guaranteed that GTA 6 will not be delayed again.
