Rockstar has officially revealed the first GTA 6 returning character set to make an appearance from previous games. The Grand Theft Auto series has a long tradition of including characters from previous titles in the newest iteration, and it seems that GTA 6 will be no different after fans spotted one character in the recent Extended Look.
After over a week of devastating leaks, Rockstar was finally able to lift the lid on GTA 6‘s gameplay via the Extended Look on Netflix. The 26-minute showcase gave players a deep dive into what to expect from the upcoming game, which is expected to be the biggest video game launch of all time. While fans were given plenty of details to dive into, one returning character instantly caught the attention of many.
GTA 6 Confirms Valentina Return From GTA Online
As spotted by TheZombiesGuy on Reddit, Valentina, who first appeared in GTA Online‘s Money Fronts update in 2025, shows up in the GTA 6 Extended Look. In the new game, she hires Jason and Lucia as private security during the Megamundo HQ opening party. It’s a brief appearance, and she’s only a very minor character in her original appearance, but it’s still good to see Rockstar tying the world together in such a small way. Until now, there had been no characters confirmed for a GTA 6 return, making Valentina the first so far.
Rockstar is no stranger to bringing back characters from previous games. For example, Packie McReary and Johnny Klebitz notably appeared in GTA 5 after significant roles in GTA 4. It’s an easy way to make the games feel connected and part of the same world, while giving fans recognizable faces to spend more time with. There has always been speculation about potential GTA 6 returning characters, and there’s no doubt that Rockstar will look to keep some secrets close to its chest. But for now, it’s cool to know that at least one character from GTA Online is back in the upcoming game.
The 26-minute GTA 6 Extended Look is completely crammed with details in every single frame, and it’s easy to miss many of them on first watch. Fans will be scouring every frame in the weeks and months to come to look for more of what’s to come from the game, as there’s sure to be plenty of details going under the radar.
With less than three months to go until GTA 6‘s release date, fans can expect the game’s marketing campaign to kick into overdrive now. Hype for the game is absolutely enormous, and there’s no doubt that Take-Two and Rockstar will make it impossible to avoid between now and November 19. Given what has been shown in the new Extended Look, it’s fair to say that, even with a 13-year wait, it may have been worth it.
