Grand Theft Auto Online players can get a cool million in in-game cash added to their accounts by logging in during a certain period. The giveaway is arriving alongside a bunch of other bonuses to missions and heists, as well as significant discounts that can make that million go further in GTA Online.
It’s clear that hype for Grand Theft Auto 6 is incredibly high, with GTA 6 making a billion dollars in just an hour after opening pre-orders. However, with a lack of online game mode, GTA Online isn’t going anywhere at this point, and is still receiving regular updates. One of the most recent heists to the game requires some significant investments, so this new giveaway can help those who have yet to unlock them.
GTA Online Players Can Get an Easy GTA$1,000,000
Beginning on August 6, players who login to GTA Online will unlock a free GTA$1,000,000 for their accounts. All that users need to do is login to the game anytime between August 6 and August 12 — no specific gameplay steps are required. Players will receive notice that the million has been added to their accounts within 72 hours following their eligible login.

Those who are willing to put in a little work to get some extra in-game cash are also in luck, as GTA Online is offering major bonuses on top of some of its highest-paying activities. Players who complete The Fleeca Heist or The Pacific Standard Heist during the week of July 30 through August 5 will get double the usual GTA$ payout the first time they do so. Participating players will also get a free Fleeca Circuit livery for the Ubermacht Cypher. 2x GTA$ and RP is also being offered until August 5 for participating in Motor Wars (Cayo Perico) or for finding loot from shipwrecks.
With summer well underway, GTA Online will be offering plenty of reasons to participate throughout the month. The following week, players can pick up some additional bonuses. Assault on Cayo Perico will offer 2x GTA$ and RP from August 6–12. Surviving three waves in Cayo Perico Survival and completing the second weekly challenge will net players an extra GTA$100,000, plus a free Noise Rockstar Logo Aged Tee. Players participating in the Cayo Perico Heist at that time will also find a guaranteed Panther Statue during their first run of the week, and if successful in completing it, they’ll receive a free Panther Tour Jacket.
Superyacht missions in GTA Online are also paying extra until August 12, with 2x the usual GTA$ and RP. With Galaxy Super Yachts ranging in cost from 6-10 million GTA$, gaining access to those missions can be tough. Thankfully, Rockstar is giving players a break on this too, as they can pick up a Super Yacht for 60% off, with additional modifications discounted by the same amount. Whether players choose to participate in high-difficulty heists or simply login and jump out again, there are plenty of reasons to login to GTA Online during the first half of August.
