In an effort to continue fighting cheaters and exploiters, Arrowhead Game Studios announces a new Helldivers 2 anti-cheat method used to counter those manipulating the Super Credit system. Community feedback has become a major element for Arrowhead’s development cycle, mixing in new Helldivers 2 content with highly requested improvements from the community of players.
Coming off of a shaky end to 2025, which saw Helldivers 2 struggling with a number of technical problems impacting the game, the current year has been a mix of new Warbond content and rising community unrest. Over the past couple of months, Arrowhead has been in constant communication with players in an attempt to be more transparent about where the game is and where it’s going. Part of that has been attempts to improve in-game systems like progression and community quests, while the other major talking point is improving how the studio explains balance changes and performance. In keeping up with the theme of communication, Arrowhead is detailing new security fixes being added to Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 Cracking Down on Super Credit Exploiters
In a new post to the community, Arrowhead reveals that it has added a new monitoring method for players who may be gaming the Helldivers 2 Super Credit system. Players have previously reported that some were able to earn Super Credits at suspiciously high rates, much faster than what is considered normal. To counter those using tools and exploits to cheat the system, as well as to keep things fair for all players, Arrowhead has finally added a way to counter them to protect the in-game economy.

Thankfully, these new tools are completely behind the scenes, so for those playing normally and completely legitimately, they won’t be impacted. Exploits and automation that allows players to earn Super Credits at impossible levels will now be stopped at the source before any harm can be done. Better yet, Super Credits are just the start, as Arrowhead is also planning to expand these anti-cheat tools to cover other Helldivers 2 in-game resources, protecting Medals, Samples, and Requisitions as well.
The anti-cheat methods go hand-in-hand with other big changes that Arrowhead Game Studios has announced for Helldivers 2. Back in June 2026, game director Mikael Eriksson announced numerous changes coming to the game, including making Galactic War feel more impactful and alive, letting player actions have a greater influence on how things play out. In addition, Galactic War Campaigns in Helldivers 2 represent an evolution of the game’s previous Major Orders system while also making it more rewarding for the player’s time.
However, the biggest reveal for many was the announcement of Planet Warfronts in Helldivers 2. Arrowhead intends to make these a more dynamic activity that takes inspiration from roguelite-style games. Grouped into 3 possible categories, players could be defending liberated territory, joining a frontline war, or attempting to hold out while being stuck behind enemy lines. In addition to gameplay altering effects and different enemy variants appearing based on where the player is, each run is intended to feel unique by twisting new elements into the experience.
