Season 3 Reloaded is live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, bringing the brand-new Totenreich map to Zombies mode. The map is set within a Norse fishing town from the WWII era, and the design and story elements definitely take inspiration from Norse mythology. Totenreich also features the brand-new Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon. In this guide, we’ll show you how to collect the hidden pieces needed to craft this unique melee-style Wonder Weapon.
Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon
The Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon can be acquired by completing a hidden in-game quest, which we walk you through in the steps below.
The weapon can also be obtained through the Mystery Box if you’re lucky enough. The Wonderbar Gobblegum will guarantee you get a Wonder Weapon on your next spin, but both versions of the Ray Gun are also in the box, reducing your chances to get the Jotunn Star with this method.
Turn on the power
To start the Wonder Weapon quest, you’ll want to work your way through the map to turn on the power and unlock Pack-a-Punch. Black Ops 7 includes quest markers to guide you through the steps needed to do this. So, just follow the orange markers on your map.
Once Pack-a-Punch is unlocked, your orange quest markers disappear, but this means you can now work through the rest of the hidden steps detailed below.
Collect the quest parts
Chains from Dry Dock

Head to the POI called Dry Dock. Interact with the button inside the Titan Crane building to lower the crane. This crane will lower a long board, which you then need to use to wall jump and grab the chain hanging from the front of the boat docked there. This location is inaccessible without making this jump. The chain location is marked in the image below.

The crane will only stay lowered for a short time, so you need to be quick with your movement here. Wall jump toward the front of the boat and press the interact button to grab the chain. This part can be frustrating if you’re like me and not savvy at parkour. Thankfully, you can just use the crane button as many times as you need to make a successful jump. It doesn’t cost any points to use the crane.

Take the chain you just grabbed to the small hut at the Burial Grounds POI, as shown in the image above. You might’ve already noticed a large wooden door here that you can’t open with points as normal. Interact with the left side of the door (while you have the chains) to repair it. This opens the building and gives you access to a puzzle area you’ll need later.
Collect the Chili Chunks

Head to the bridge and look behind the truck near the Deadshot Daiquiri perk machine. There are cans of chili behind the truck. Interacting with the cans will give you the Chili Chunks quest item.

Take the Chili Chunks to the Skallen Market POI. You want to place the item on a table (as seen in the image above) near the Mule Kick perk machine. You’ll know it’s the right table because it will have other cans of chili already placed there.
Progress through the match until your next special round. A Zursa zombie bear should spawn. If you don’t see one but you already placed the Chili Chunks, head back to the market and one should spawn.

Killing this Zursa will drop a lantern quest item for you to pick up.
Complete the constellation puzzle
Take the lantern back to the door you repaired at the Burial Grounds POI. Head downstairs and place the lantern on a pedestal at the center of the room. This will start a constellation puzzle. You’ll want to match the constellation on the pedestal with the ones floating on the walls around you.
The easiest way to remember the order of the constellations is by looking at the front of the pedestal (when facing it as you enter the room) and noting the order of the constellations as they are shown from left, right, back, and then front sides of the pedestal.

The constellations will be random each match you play. You’ll want to keep a zombie alive to complete this at the end of a round to make this step easier. You can also try using decoys to distract the zombies if you’re playing solo.
Interact with the four constellations on the wall that match the pedestal order: Left, right, back, front. I tried to associate my constellations with things like flowers and animals to make it easier to find them quickly on the wall. Some of the ones in my matches looked like a bear, a fish, a whale, a horse, or a rose.
Completing this puzzle will spawn a ghost. You must follow the ghost around the map. She will make a few stops, and you’ll need to kill the purple-eyed zombies spawning around you to recharge the ghost. Eventually, she’ll lead you to the lighthouse.

Rock island formations will appear around the lighthouse to give you stepping stones to reach the ghost, who will travel up toward the top of the tower. There will be a brief animation with the ghost, but eventually, you’ll be able to pick up the Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon.
How to use the Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon

The unique benefit to the Jotunn Star is that it is technically a melee weapon, and it uses your operator’s dedicated melee slot. This means you don’t need to replace one of your regular weapon slots to use this Wonder Weapon. Totenreich allows for up to three standard weapons (If you have Mule Kick equipped) and your dedicated melee weapon.
The Jotunn Star has four different attack options which are used as follows:
- Lantern Swing: (R2) Simply swing this like a melee weapon.
- Chain Blast: (R2, R2, R2) This blast drains the essence of creatures it eliminates, storing the energy within the weapon. This energy can be stored to provide warmth and to enable the Flame Strike attacks.
- Flame Strike: (L2) When sufficiently charged, the stored energy within the Jotunn Star can be discharged as a concentrated, explosive fireball, damaging and setting foes on fire.
To upgrade the Jotunn Star, you simply need to Pack-a-Punch the weapon. This will turn the Wonder Weapon into the more powerful Surtr’s Ember variant.
