Dragon Fruit, also known as Pitaya, is one of the uncommon items in Starsand Island. Players will not need it for early game recipes or blueprints. However, it is required for certain optional quests, such as Community Center requests.
How To Make An Energy Converter In Starsand Island
Energy Converter opens several new materials in Starsand Island.
What makes Dragon Fruit harder to find is that Starsand Island does not assign it to a specific tree or plant, unlike berries. As a result, players may not know where to search. Fortunately, there are a few locations that consistently offer a strong chance of spawning these sought-after fruits.

Where to Find Dragon Fruit in Starsand Island
- North of the G-Power Bike store
- North of the Half-Moon Bay area
One of the best spots to find Dragon Fruit in Starsand Island is north of the G-Power Bike store. Search beneath the trees in this area to collect them. As of this writing, no specific tree yields this item, and it spawns randomly on the ground.
Another area worth checking is the green zone north of Half-Moon Bay. There is a decent chance a Dragon Fruit will spawn near the beach, though the drop rates do not seem consistent.
Best Way to Get Dragon Fruits Fast
One of the most effective ways to farm Dragon Fruits is by looting treasure chests around the Half-Moon Bay area. These chests often drop packs of Dragon Fruit, letting players collect dozens in a short amount of time.
A couple of treasure chests can be found near the railway south of the beach.
What to Do with Dragon Fruit
At the moment, there does not seem to be a recipe that uses Dragon Fruit in Starsand Island. However, it may be required for certain missions. It is best to store them in a storage box and keep them on hand for potential quests and requests.
Avoid selling Dragon Fruit, as it is a fairly uncommon item.
One of the early requests on the Community Center board asks players to deliver a couple of Pitayas to an Islander. The quest is optional, but it rewards Starsand Island coins, affection points, and skill upgrade fragments.
Starsand Island lets players use almost any item as a house ornament. Extra Dragon Fruits can be placed on a shelf or in a dish and used as decorative pieces.

Can You Buy Dragon Fruits?
Unfortunately, no vendors in Starsand Island currently sell Dragon Fruits. Even the Happiness Seed Shop across from the General Store does not offer them. However, a future update may add Dragon Fruit seeds or plants to Graminova’s shop.
Can You Plant Dragon Fruits?
Since no Starsand Island vendor sells Dragon Fruit seeds or saplings, players cannot farm them. The item description also states that gathering is the main way to obtain it, confirming that it cannot be cultivated, at least in the current version of the game.
