Palworld’s appearance at Summer Game Fest was, no doubt, a surprise for many, and the so-soon confirmation of Palworld‘s 1.0 release date as July 10 doubles down on that. Indeed, fans have known the exit from Early Access/1.0 full release launch was around the corner, but no one could have guessed how soon it would be.
The Summer Game Fest trailer (viewable down below) was pretty simple, showing off and teasing the world’s expansion. At the end, with the World Tree, the trailer confirmed Palworld would fully release on July 10. Alongside that will come plenty of content, most of which is still unannounced by Pocketpair. But according to Palworld communications lead John Buckley, also known as Bucky, “It’s all going to change.”

Palworld’s 1.0 Release is Finally Happening
Once Palworld exits Early Access, fans will be able to check out the World Tree and the surrounding region, encounter new Pals and variants thereof, enjoy even more story/lore content, and enjoy expanded game mechanics. Again, exacts are mostly teased right now, not confirmed, but fans can expect the patch notes for the 1.0 release to be particularly juicy. Bucky has been saying plenty about Pocketpair’s plans.

Previously, Bucky explained that the upcoming 1.0 update would be a major overhaul of all of Palworld‘s core systems, with it becoming an ideal version of itself. That said, he has acknowledged how survival game fans tend to have strong feelings about what the genre should feel like, and he explained that Pocketpair is taking a broad, all-encompassing stab at that. Whether it works or not remains to be seen, but Palworld has built up so much goodwill over the years.
Buckley also stressed that the move out of early access for Palworld goes beyond just adding endgame content, focusing instead on reworking progression across the entire game so the early and mid-game feel more complete and balanced. Given how much Pocketpair has slowed down smaller releases and focused entirely on 1.0 in recent weeks/months, that only makes sense. It’s worth noting that jumping back into Palworld—right now—doesn’t make too much sense because of all the coming changes.

As such, it might be smart to throw any current Palworld playthrough into the backlog and make sure your co-op buddies are prepared for July 10. No matter how the content shakes out, there’s no doubt that Palworld players the world over are diving in to see what’s new in the open-world survival game.
