Every year on March 10, Nintendo holds a small celebration for the Super Mario franchise. This ‘Mario Day’ celebration often includes a Nintendo eShop sale that offers discounts on some of the best games in the Super Mario franchise.
Mario Day 2026 will be no exception to this long-standing tradition. An assortment of Super Mario games have just gone on sale on the Nintendo eShop, with discounts starting at 20% and going all the way up to 90%. The 2026 Mario Day sale will run until March 15 at 11:59pm PT, giving fans just over a week to decide if they want to pick up any of the following games.

There are nine games included in Nintendo’s Mario Day sale 2026, not including any special editions or DLC. The biggest discounts available in the sale are for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, with both its standard edition and Gold Edition being reduced by 90%. The standard version of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope costs $5.99, while the Gold Edition that comes with all of the game’s DLC is $8.99. Those who already own the base game can also pick up Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope‘s DLC separately at a reduced price, with the season pass costing $7.49, or each individual DLC costing $3.74.
Quite a few acclaimed Super Mario games have been reduced to $40 in this ongoing Mario Day 2026 sale, including Super Mario Maker 2, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Super Mario RPG and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD have also received sizable reductions, dropping their prices to $41.99.
Super Mario Party Jamboree has also been reduced to $41.99, though it’s the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game that’s more likely to turn heads. Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV has received a 22% discount during this Mario Day sale, bringing it down to $61.98. While that’s not a huge reduction, it marks one of the first times a first-party Nintendo Switch 2 game has been reduced on the eShop since the console’s launch back in June 2025.
What’s Not Included in the Mario Day 2026 Sale
While the Mario Day 2026 sale offers decent discounts on a variety of Super Mario titles, some of the franchise’s most popular Nintendo Switch games are noticeably absent from the celebration. Super Mario Odyssey is one of the more obvious omissions, with the beloved Switch 3D platformer still costing $59.99 on the Nintendo eShop. This is especially odd as Mario Odyssey was a headliner for the 2025 Mario Day sales, dropping to $39.99 this time last year. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is also missing this time around.
As is usually the case, the most recently released Super Mario games are also not included in this ongoing eShop sale either. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Tennis Fever, and Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 are all still full retail price on the eShop. It should be noted, however, that Mario Day sales do often encompass other retailers, so sites like Amazon and GameStop may offer discounts on these games closer to March 10.
