Minecraft Player Recreates Armadillo in Red Dead Redemption 2

One Minecraft player has showcased their building skills by creating a detailed replica of Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption 2, impressing many fans online. Rockstar’s 2018 classic is still beloved by gamers, with some making impressive tributes in other games, such as Minecraft.

Few games offer the same level of freedom as Minecraft, letting players choose how they wish to play. Thanks to its many blocks and items, all sorts of impressive structures can be created in the vanilla version of the game. From builds inspired by popular media franchises to completely original designs, the possibilities are nearly endless for the creative gamer. In addition, Mojang releases game drops that add new content to Minecraft, increasing the creative potential. Recently, one player showed off what is possible when building in the game.

Minecraft Player Builds Incredible Redstone Millennium Falcon

Using the power of redstone, a skilled Minecraft builder creates a functional Millennium Falcon that can even shoot fireballs.

Minecraft Player’s 1:1 Recreation of Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption 2

On Reddit, a user known as GeneralGeneral5302 shared screenshots of their recreation of Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption 2. The town from Rockstar’s iconic video game was meticulously recreated in Minecraft, with many of the details copied into the design. According to GeneralGeneral5302, this build was done on a 1:1 scale. For comparison, the creator included several screenshots from Red Dead Redemption 2 of the town to illustrate the similarity with the Minecraft recreation. For instance, they shared an overhead shot of Armadillo from both games, showing that the layouts were nearly identical.

When sharing the build on the Minecraft subreddit, GeneralGeneral5302 also included several screenshots from the surface level, giving an idea of the scale. The iconic buildings had all been recreated with careful attention to detail, and the town featured a Wild West atmosphere in general. It is worth noting that this replica of Armadillo also included the interiors of buildings. A couple of images appear to show the insides of a jail and a saloon.

So far, this recreation of Armadillo has caught the attention of fans of both games. The Reddit post has hundreds of upvotes, with some users commenting on the project. In the replies, GeneralGeneral5302 revealed that no mods were used in the build and said the entire thing was done in vanilla. Additionally, the creator said they planned to continue making locations from Red Dead Redemption 2 in Minecraft. While they admitted that recreating the entire map on a 1:1 scale would likely be an overwhelming task, they hoped to at least tackle Saint Denis. As the major city in the game, it would be interesting to see the creator take on the challenge. It would doubtlessly require a lot of time and effort, but it could result in a stunning recreation.

While fans wait for more builds based on Red Dead Redemption 2 to appear on Reddit, other players have been sharing unique creations as well. For example, a group of gamers created a to-scale replica of New York City in Minecraft, complete with skyscrapers and other significant landmarks. In addition, others have shared builds based on popular series, such as Stranger Things. Hopefully, the community will showcase more of their builds in the coming weeks, inspiring even more projects.

Minecraft is Releasing More Game Drops in 2026

Fortunately, Minecraft does not look to be showing any signs of slowing down for those who enjoy playing. At the start of January, Mojang teased its first game drop for 2026. Among the features revealed, the developer shared a look at redesigned baby farm mobs for Minecraft, giving some critters adorable makeovers. Furthermore, the developer announced that name tags will be craftable when the new game drop launches, making it easier for players to keep track of all their pets.

There is currently no release date for these new features, but players can already check them out in Java snapshot and Bedrock beta/preview. If last year’s update release cadence for Minecraft is anything to go by, the new content could come to the base game sometime in March. However, players will have to wait to hear from Mojang for official confirmation. In the meantime, they can look forward to more impressive builds from the community.
