While fans wait for news on Hogwarts Legacy 2, they may want to revisit the original game.
Hogwarts Legacy is a meaty experience. There are unique scenes depending on which Hogwarts House players choose, which adds some replay value to the experience. Hogwarts Legacy boasts a sizable open world for players to explore full of secrets and interesting things to discover, so it’s easy to lose dozens of hours in the game. However, there are certainly Hogwarts Legacy players that have seen and done it all by now, and may want something new to do.
Hogwarts Legacy Now Has a Chamber of Secrets Mod
Luckily, Hogwarts Legacy players on PC now have the option to download a mod that adds the Chamber of Secrets to the game. Shared on Curseforge and developed by maxshig_dev, KBNGaming 2, theTarya, and Dyserina, the Chamber of Secrets mod does exactly what its name suggests — it allows Hogwarts Legacy players to explore the Chamber of Secrets, reimagined for the video game. It’s recommended that players visit the Chamber of Secrets with a high-level character, and the quest “In the Shadow of the Study” is a prerequisite.
Where is the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy?
The Chamber of Secrets entrance is located in a girls’ bathroom in Hogwarts. As explained on Curseforge, to reach it you need to go to the Lower Grand Staircase, walk towards the Slytherin common room entrance, and take a right to find the bathroom. You can visit the Chamber of Secrets bathroom in Hogwarts Legacy without downloading the mod, but there isn’t much to see. Since Hogwarts Legacy takes place decades before the Chamber of Secrets was opened, the basilisk remains asleep and there is no Moaning Myrtle ghost to talk to.

The Hogwarts Legacy sequel is rumored to take place around the same time as the upcoming Harry Potter TV series that’s set to premiere this December. If those rumors are true, it would mean that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is set during Harry Potter’s time at the magical school. This would open the door to many more Easter eggs that were impossible to include in the original game due to timeline issues, and could potentially include a cameo appearance from Moaning Myrtle.
As it stands, there isn’t much in the way of concrete information when it comes to Hogwarts Legacy 2. A WBD executive has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, but beyond that and the rumors about its setting, there isn’t much we know about the project. Other rumors suggest that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will have an online multiplayer component of some kind, but again, Harry Potter fans should hang tight for more information on that front.
