New Kingdom Come Game Title Finally Revealed by Trademark

New Kingdom Come Game Title Finally Revealed by Trademark

Earlier this year, developer Warhorse Studios announced it was working on a brand-new Kingdom Come game (although it is not a numbered title) and a brand-new open-world Lord of the Rings game, and now fans have learned more about the former. Of course, this isn’t entirely surprising given that the new Kingdom Come game’s release window target is between April 2027 and March 2028, meaning fans could be playing it by the end of next year, if that isn’t too good to be true.

That’s obviously exciting because the Kingdom Come series has become one of the biggest success stories in the RPG genre over the last several years, with its grounded approach to medieval combat and historical authenticity helping it carve out a dedicated fanbase. Now, a newly discovered trademark filing has already revealed the next game’s official title and an interesting gameplay detail. As always with trademark discoveries, nothing is confirmed until the developer says so, but the filing is pretty straightforward.

Steam Users Have a Chance to Get 10/10 Open-World RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for $1

A limited-time Steam deal could potentially give customers the highly-loved 2025 action RPG, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, for the low, low price of $1.

Kingdom Come Salvation Trademark Hints at Game Development

KCS Trademark

First reported by ThePhrasemaker, a brand-new trademark for Kingdom Come Salvation has now been filed through the same Prague-based attorney address used for the Kingdom Come: Deliverance trademarks. Given the similar name, the matching branding, the location, and the exact same legal representation, many fans have reasonably concluded that Kingdom Come Salvation is the next game in the series from Warhorse Studios. The filing itself also contains one detail that has sparked additional speculation.

Alongside the standard classifications typically associated with AAA games, it references “entertainment services for matching users with computer games.” In other words, it appears that there is some form of online functionality being considered for this game, meaning perhaps it is a co-op game, perhaps it has online in-game message systems similar to FromSoftware’s Soulslike games or Death Stranding 2, or just some kind of potential online component. However, because Warhorse announced it as an adventure game in the historical world of Kingdom Come, fans can rest assured that single-player probably remains the bread and butter.

Of course, it’s worth noting that trademarks don’t always translate directly into finished products. Developers routinely register names well before an announcement, and specific features listed in trademark filings don’t necessarily make it into the final game. That said, Warhorse isn’t exactly Ubisoft or EA registering a bunch of trademarks for no reason, meaning that this carries much more weight than most trademarks. But even beyond that, the combination of the matching legal details and the multiplayer-related classification makes this one of the more interesting Kingdom Come discoveries in recent months.

For now, fans should treat Kingdom Come Salvation as soft confirmation until Warhorse Studios officially reveals its next game, with Gamescom 2026 being a strong possibility. Still, if the filing proves legitimate, it may have not only revealed the franchise’s next title, but also hinted that the series could be experimenting with online features for the first time.
