Bandai Namco has shared new details about Bleach Mirrors High, including info on its combat system, character customization, and three original Soul Reapers. The publisher’s comprehensive overview may be the final major update on the upcoming Bleach game before its beta begins later in summer 2026.
Announced in late December 2025, Bleach Mirrors High is a free-to-play character action gacha game based on the eponymous shonen manga and anime series. It will mark the second video game adaptation of the hit franchise published by Bandai Namco in the 2020s, following the character-heavy Bleach: Rebirth of Souls . While the 2025 title adapted established manga story arcs, Mirrors High follows a customizable Soul Reaper through an original narrative set after the Thousand-Year Blood War.
Bleach Mirrors High Confirms Three-Character Card Combat and Customizable Zanpakuto
The latest look at Bleach Mirrors High arrived on July 18, when Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming title. Labeled an official “overview,” the 105-second video and its accompanying announcement revealed new details about the next Bleach video game, including various tidbits about its combat mechanics and character customization systems. The trailer also introduced three Bleach Soul Reapers who will be playable in the new game: Naru Jurinna, voiced by Fuka Izumi; Giro Hando, voiced by Shogo Batori; and Maiko Tokishima, voiced by Yu Sasahara. Series creator Tite Kubo has personally designed all three characters.

Battles in Mirrors High feature three-character teams whose attacks depend on the Action Cards selected for each encounter. Individual fighters can unleash animated Mortal Blows, while a full squad can combine its abilities to perform a Soul Drive attack. Chaining actions can also trigger Link Attacks. Although three-character lineups should feel familiar to anyone who played Bleach: Brave Souls, Mirrors High distinguishes itself through card-based move selection and coordinated team techniques. Those systems promise to infuse the upcoming title with more tactical depth, which could translate to greater PvP potential. Naturally, the overall quality of competitive play will also depend on matchmaking, rankings, and seasonal rewards, which Bandai Namco has yet to detail.
The customization system covers both the protagonist and their weapon. Players can modify the Soul Reaper’s hair, face, body, eyes, color scheme, and name. Supported Zanpakuto sword customizations include the blade, guard, hilt, decorations, visual effects, and fighting style. The official site currently lists familiar characters such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai, Kisuke Urahara, Byakuya Kuchiki, and Toshiro Hitsugaya alongside the game’s original cast. In addition to the trio featured in the latest trailer, Bleach Mirrors High introduces several other original characters, including Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari. They appear alongside established figures such as Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji. Kubo previously said the game’s original story is connected to the original Bleach manga, albeit without elaborating on the matter. The official canon status of Mirrors High has yet to be confirmed.
Bleach Mirrors High Locks Down Closed Beta Release Date
The new Bleach mobile game will hold a closed beta for 20,000 previously registered players from July 22 through July 29. The test will be available on both Android and iOS, while the full game is expected to launch later in 2026, most likely before the end of summer.
