New Official One Piece Release Confirmed for 2026

One Piece fans have a brand-new release to look forward to in 2026. The upcoming One Piece: Grand Gourmet is a restaurant management sim from developer Kairosoft that puts players in the shoes of the Straw Hats, and, with the help of Sanji, allows them to prepare creative dishes to serve a familiar cast of customers. One Piece: Grand Gourmet launches on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and mobile devices on October 23, 2026.

Anime fans in general were treated quite well during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct. Not only was One Piece: Grand Gourmet officially unveiled, but Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton was also announced as a Vampire Survivor-like game from developer poncle. Between these two new 2026 releases, anime fans have a couple of great-looking games headed their way before the end of the year.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet is a New Game Coming in October 2026

The trailer for One Piece: Grand Gourmet debuted during the recent Nintendo Direct, showcasing the floating restaurant, the Bararie Number 2. On board, players take on the role of a rookie staff member as they help the Straw Hats manage this bustling restaurant. One Piece: Grand Gourmet lets players work with Sanji to build their ideal menu of dishes inspired by One Piece favorites, such as Water-Water Meat BBQ, and then decorate their meal sets however they like.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet even lets players cook recipes influenced by the series’ Devil Fruit powers. There is a surprisingly complex level of experimentation when it comes to using different ingredients to craft customer-favorite dishes. Players will also need to keep their supply of ingredients stocked, so sending Straw Hat members out to hunt for new ingredients is key in Grand Gourmet as well.

Aside from just cooking up new recipes, One Piece: Grand Gourmet gives players the license to customize the restaurant however they desire. Players can choose from over 200 pieces of furniture and decorations inspired by iconic One Piece locations like Whole Cake Island and Egghead. As their restaurant grows, One Piece: Grand Gourmet will let players expand the size of the Baratie Number 2 so that they can place even more decorations and serve a larger number of customers at a time.

The right combination of dishes and restaurant ambience will attract different types of customers, including over 400 characters from the One Piece universe, such as Whitebeard, Crocodile, ‘Big News’ Morgans, and many more. Each of these characters has their own unique pixel art sprite, contributing to the game’s charming, cozy vibe. One Piece and cozy management sim fans will want to mark October 23 on their calendar ahead of this new One Piece release.
