Stardew Valley fans have another official release to look forward to this Winter, but it’s probably not what anyone expected. While many players are waiting for the new content and romances in Stardew Valley‘s 1.7 update, developer ConcernedApe always has multiple projects in the works, and the latest brings Pelican Town into the real world.
This announcement continues what’s become a growing line of official Stardew Valley merchandise and companion books. The Stardew Valley Cookbook proved to be a major hit with fans, and this latest project—a crochet book—comes from the same publisher, Random House Worlds. According to ConcernedApe, players can expect the same level of care and quality that helped make the cookbook such a success, only this time shifting the focus from cooking recipes to crafting handmade Stardew Valley keepsakes.

Much like Stardew Valley itself, the crochet book leans into the series’ cozy atmosphere instead of simply recreating characters. Players can crochet everything from collectible Slimes and Eggs to decorative Junimos, complete with their own seasonal huts. More challenging projects include iconic items like the Mermaid Pendant, while even familiar farm animals receive multiple customization options, so fans can build their own unique Stardew Valley chicken coop.
The announcement also reflects just how much Stardew Valley has expanded beyond being one of gaming’s biggest indie success stories. Between board games, concerts, the official cookbook, merchandise, and now a full crochet collection, Pelican Town has become a lifestyle brand as much as a video game. It’s been out for years at this point, but it’s still very much a cultural farming sim phenomenon, inspiring other games to boot. All the while, the farming simulator continues finding new ways to keep its community engaged while ConcernedApe continues work on Haunted Chocolatier.

For longtime Stardew Valley fans, this is another easy addition to the collection. Whether someone is an experienced crocheter or simply looking for a new hobby, the book appears designed to capture the same relaxing charm that made Stardew Valley such a farming sim phenomenon in the first place. And with more than 45 different projects to create, there’s plenty here to keep fans busy.
