A new trailer and release date announcement for the upcoming anime GTA-like game Ananta were shared at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. This trailer showcased the two distinct cities players will explore in Ananta, giving players a glimpse of the gameplay in the upcoming free-to-play open-world adventure game from NetEase. Ananta is earning its “anime GTA” moniker with its frenetic gameplay and over-the-top action as players delve into the mysteries that the game holds in this release date trailer.

Anime GTA-Like Game Ananta Gets New Trailer, Release Date

In Ananta, players will take control of a supernatural investigator known as an Infinite Trigger as they investigate anomalies that appear around the game’s cities. A key part of this new Ananta trailer is the showcase of its two major cities: Nova City and Chongxiao’s Lingyun City. Nova City represents a modern metropolis that is similar to GTA cities like Vice City or Los Santos, while Lingyun City has a distinctly Eastern flair to it.

Ananta release on January 15, 2027 for free on PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
