New Shooter Game Pays You For Playing, But There’s a Major Catch

A brand-new shooter game, BR1: Infinite, is giving players the chance to earn real-world money for excelling at the game, though it does require a pay-in to play. The PC shooter allows players to pay what they want to play and has reportedly paid out significant sums of money.

Gaming has become an increasingly lucrative career choice for many skilled and entertaining players. The rise of streaming platforms like Twitch and Kick has given players the chance to put themselves in front of an audience, with many gamers rising to become some of the most recognizable online creators. Some highly-skilled players have even chosen to enter the professional scene, with tournaments for games like Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends offering huge prize pools for winners and high-placing teams. Now, a brand-new multiplayer shooter is giving fans the chance to earn money with every game they play.

BR1: Infinite is a brand-new extraction shooter that allows fans to earn real money by eliminating other players, though it comes at a cost. Players can pay to spawn onto a live server with other players and earn money equal to their entry fee for each kill, with hidden cash drops and events granting even more rewards. Players can choose how much they want to pay to enter a match, with entry fees as low as $0.10 and as high as $5 for each spawn into the game. Interested players can sign up and download BR1: Infinite now through the game’s official website, with the online multiplayer shooter offering a $5 credit for signing up.

The unique extraction shooter has confirmed that it will have options for players not looking to pay to play the game. Alongside paid servers for BR1: Infinite, the game also supports free servers for fans just looking to play the game without any monetary incentive. The game also gives players multiple ways to earn money in paid matches beyond just eliminating other players, including extracting cash drops without dying and placing at the top of the game’s event leaderboards. Players are also able to earn BR1 points to spend on skins and cosmetics in the in-game store.

BR1: Infinite does impose some limits on how often players can redeem their in-game earnings for real-world cash. Players’ in-game earnings come in the form of USDC cryptocurrency that players can accumulate in their account, with deposits into players’ accounts also being converted into USDC. Once a player meets the minimum threshold of 25 USDC, they can withdraw any amount of money above the $25 threshold. Both entry fees for playing matches of the extraction shooter and earnings are stored in players’ accounts, allowing them to put their in-game money back towards playing more games.

BR1: Infinite will face tough competition in the extraction shooter genre, filled with heavy hitters. ARC Raiders was a smash hit following its release in late 2025, selling four million copies within two weeks of the game’s October launch. Escape from Tarkov released its long-awaited Version 1.0 in November 2025 after spending more than eight years in beta testing, and is credited as a major factor in the rise of extraction shooters. BR1: Infinite will hope that its unique cash-driven gameplay can help it to stand out from a strong crowd of fan-favorites.
