Nintendo has officially announced a new Nintendo Direct showcase for August 2026. This Nintendo Direct is scheduled to air on August 4 at 7am PT, and will focus on the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave game for Nintendo Switch 2. It’s unconfirmed if any other games will appear at this Direct, but it seems unlikely given its Fire Emblem focus.

Announced via the Nintendo Today app and shared by the official Nintendo of America Twitter account, fans can tune into the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Direct on August 4 at 7am PT. The stream will be available to view on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel and the Nintendo Today app. Nintendo has a history of airing these game-specific Directs in the lead-up to release, most recently airing a Splatoon Raiders Direct back in June ahead of the game’s July 23 release date. With Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave planned for release on September 17, this Direct comes at the perfect time.
