Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Hylian Shield Has Been Updated
Though it was only visible for a moment during the title screen at the end of the trailer, it didn’t take fans long to notice that something had changed. Ocarina of Time‘s Hylian Shield appears to have been replaced with the newer design that has been used since Skyward Sword, and returned in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Notably, the Triforce and crest take up less space on the newer design, and the notorious fourth triangle at the base of the shield has been removed. The silver border of the shield is also more ornate than the original Ocarina of Time version. The Master Sword has also been updated, with the gold ornamentation now on the hilt, instead of beneath it, and the grip of the sword is wrapped like the modern version of the iconic weapon.
