While there are any number of things that could be shown, the most exciting options would be the new hero or map coming in Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 3. Judging from their silhouette, the next character is almost certainly a member of the Hashimoto clan, a prominent Japanese criminal syndicate in Overwatch that recently allied with Talon. This is corroborated by the new Japan Night map located in Tokyo coming in Season 3.
If one or the other appears during the showmatch, it would be the first time Overwatch reveals a new hero or map during an esports event. Given the Champions Clash is taking place in Tokyo, it would be especially fitting for Overwatch to reveal the new Tokyo map or Japanese hero during the OWCS tournament. That said, there is no confirmation that the new hero or map will be revealed during the event. It is possible the Champions Clash could show off some other feature from Season 3 instead, such as a Mythic hero skin, Competitive reward, or hero rework, so gamers should temper their expectations.

Either way, it won’t be long until players see this new hero; Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 3 begins June 16, meaning this playable character will have to be revealed before then. According to a credible Overwatch leaker, the character is indeed the leader of the Kanezaka branch of the Hashimoto, making her Kiriko’s enemy and Mizuki’s boss. Described as “Overwatch’s version of Revy from Black Lagoon” and “Cassidy 2.0,” this deadly crime boss allegedly wields two pistols and a bayonet. Beyond the credible source, the leaks seem plausible and match the character’s sharp silhouette, so fans will have to see how correct these rumors are once the hero is revealed, be it at the Champions Clash or some time after.
