Palworld is officially teasing the development of the Version 1.1 update for the monster-catching survival game, suggesting that work has begun on the patch. Pocketpair launched the long-awaited Version 1.0 patch for Palworld in early July.

Pocketpair’s breakout hit monster-catching game has already enjoyed a big summer in 2026. The highly-anticipated launch of Version 1.0 welcomed more than 70 new Pals to the game for players to find and capture, alongside the introduction of several new areas, including the debut of the World Tree. One of the game’s first major spin-offs launched during the summer as well, with Pocketpair and Bushiroad teaming up to launch the first set for the Palworld Official Card Game on July 30. Pocketpair is now getting fans excited about the next major update coming to Palworld.

Palworld Is Officially Working on Version 1.1

An official post from Palworld‘s Twitter account teased fans about the future of the monster-catching survival game. The tweet showed a photo of a meeting room display inside Pocketpair’s offices, which read “Palworld v1.1 Brainstorming Session,” implying that preparation has begun for the first major update following Palworld‘s full release. The post did not provide any details about what Pocketpair is considering adding for the game’s next patch, informing fans that work has begun on the update. A release window was also not confirmed for Palworld‘s Version 1.1 update, though the early access cadence for Palworld suggests that the patch is likely still several months away.

While Palworld did not give any official details, replies to the post were filled with suggestions from fans for new changes. One fan suggested a method for adjusting the radius of the base created by placing a Palbox, asking Palworld to allow them to build bigger bases and full villages. Another fan suggested allowing players to convert Palworld‘s Ancient Technology Points into regular Technology Points after unlocking all the Ancient Technology options, given fans a practical use for extra points acquired from Ancient Technology Manuals.

Palworld‘s Version 1.0 update included some of the most sweeping changes the game has seen yet. The Effigy system saw a huge rework following the patch, adding multiple new Pal Effigies to upgrade stats such as Movement Speed, Hunger Rate Reduction, and Pal Sphere tracking. Palworld‘s breeding system also received a major overhaul with the update, adding new passive skills Pals could obtain through breeding, as well as the entirely new Mutation and Awakening systems providing a variety of unique buffs.

Palworld fans should have every reason to be excited about the monster-catching game. Pocketpair has continued to provide support for the game through smaller updates and bug fixes, already rolling out three new patches since the release of Version 1.0. Pocketpair and Garena are even teaming up to create a new spin-off for the franchise, with Palworld Online scheduled to launch as a “reimagining” of the game designed specifically for mobile devices. Between new updates to the base game, the launch of the official card game, and Palworld Online, Palworld is primed to continue its early success well into the future.
