PC gamers that want to expand their digital libraries have a whopping six games to snag right now, as long as they are willing to use both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Steam, the Epic Games Store, and other digital storefronts ensure that PC gamers almost always have some freebie to claim, with dozens up for grabs every year.
On the Steam side of things, there are currently two games available for PC gamers to claim, both of which expire on April 6 at 12:00pm CST. There’s Depths of Horror: Mushroom Day, a first-person horror game where players explore a creepy cave, and then there’s House Flipper, a cozy game where players buy houses, renovate them, and attempt to sell them for a profit. Both games were well-received by Steam users, and anyone interested should be sure to snag them ASAP.
Steam Users Have Until April 6 to Get 2018 Game With “Very Positive” Reviews Absolutely Free of Charge
Steam users have until April 6 if they want to claim a 2018 game with “Very Positive” reviews for free.
Free Steam Games Right Now
Depths of Horror: Mushroom Day and House Flipper are both free until April 6, but if you are someone that claims the latter for free and want more, it’s worth pointing out that the game’s many DLC packs are currently on sale. House Flipper 2 is also discounted on Steam for a limited time, though who knows if it will one day be given away for free on the platform like its predecessor.
Everything Free on the Epic Games Store Right Now
Meanwhile, Epic Games Store users currently have four games to claim at the time of this writing. Together After Dark is a co-op horror game that is free on the Epic Games Store until April 5, while Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is a voxel action game that’s free until April 9. Tractor Racers is, as its name describes, a racing game with tractors, and TOMAK: Save the Earth Regeneration is a visual novel game that’s free until April 16.
When Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is cycled out of the Epic Games Store free games lineup, it will be replaced by Prop Sumo. Prop Sumo is a party fighting game ala Super Smash Bros. that will be free from April 9 to April 16. A different game will replace Prop Sumo at that point, but we have no idea what that will be at the time of this writing.
Epic Games Store free games are given away every Thursday at 10:00am CST, but lately there have been bonus free games to claim as well. The bonus free games on the Epic Games Store have added a lot of mystery to the EGS free games, and hopefully it continues. While the free games on the Epic Games Store and elsewhere aren’t always going to appeal to everybody, you can’t beat free, and it’s great to get free games with no strings attached.
