Pokemon Fan Proves That ‘Every Pokemon is Someone’s Favorite’ With Custom Website

Pokemon Fan Proves That ‘Every Pokemon is Someone’s Favorite’ With Custom Website

A Pokemon fan decided to find out if it’s really true that “every Pokemon is someone’s favorite,” with amazing results on their custom-made website. The “every Pokemon is someone’s favorite” sentence has become a kind of core philosophy for the series and its community online, as it shows that Pokemon is not necessarily about battling with the strongest, but about making friends with pocket monsters. The Pokemon anime has been true to this for as long as it has been airing, with Pikachu becoming the series’ mascot and deciding not to evolve into Raichu.

Technically, this is still very difficult to achieve in games, where evolutions matter for unlocking better stats, type combinations, abilities, moves, and even Pokedex progression. Still, the statement has been accepted by fans, even if it sometimes gets challenged with popularity contests and other means to establish whether all Pokemon are truly someone’s favorite, rather than just the usual suspects. For example, a recent study highlighted Lopunny as one of the most popular Pokemon across the United States, while also tracking popularity data for many other critters.

Pokemon GO: A Complete Pokedex

Pokemon GO is a challenging game. More so with so many friends to catch. Here’s a complete Pokedex to help trainers in their journey!

Every Pokemon is Officially Someone’s Favorite

A Reddit user by the name of Mixel34P shared a post on the platform challenging the community’s mantra to see if it would actually be true by building a custom website with the full 1,000+ Pokemon. On the website, fans can “declare a favorite,” which means choosing a given Pokemon either by name or Pokedex number and calling it one’s favorite, alongside a chosen trainer name and an optional statement about why that given Pokemon has that person’s love. Doing this proved in under 24 hours that every Pokemon is indeed someone’s favorite, as Mixel34P included a smart clause on the website, effectively completing the Pokedex of every game.

Not only does declaring a favorite prevent fans from repeating the process on the same device, but it also works for all Pokemon ever, with one trick — Pokemon who were no one’s favorite yet would be obscured, showing just their silhouette and Pokedex number. This made the process more genuine, as fans had to actually know a Pokemon’s name and overall identity to declare it a favorite. Nevertheless, the website’s “hidden Pokemon” have all been revealed within 19 hours, which is an incredible feat for a post with only 3,400 upvotes that also required users to go to a fan-made website.

Pokemon Fan Creates a Pokedex-themed Kindle

Interestingly, here’s a list of the Pokemon with the most fans on Mixel34P’s website, which includes some surprises:

  1. Gengar — 453 fans
  2. Bulbasaur — 345 fans
  3. Arcanine — 326 fans
  4. Mimikyu — 320 fans
  5. Umbreon — 261 fans
  6. Dragonite — 251 fans
  7. Absol — 251 fans
  8. Charizard — 233 fans
  9. Ampharos — 230 fans
  10. Snorlax — 229 fans
  11. Eevee — 228 fans
  12. Mudkip — 227 fans
  13. Lucario — 218 fans
  14. Totodile — 205 fans
  15. Flygon — 203 fans
  16. Sylveon — 200 fans
  17. Blaziken — 192 fans
  18. Mawile — 187 fans
  19. Raichu — 183 fans
  20. Cyndaquil — 183 fans

For example, series mascot Pikachu is number 52 on the list with 116 votes, which is one vote fewer than Joltik and one vote more than Rayquaza. After the most popular Pokemon of all time on this list, it’s also fair to explore the ones with the fewest fans. These are:

  • 1025: Munkidori, 1 fan
  • 1024: Poltchageist, 1 fan
  • 1023: Iron Leaves, 1 fan

Patient, dependable, and quietly formidable. You don’t rush headlong into anything — you grow into it. While others sprint for the horizon, you’re already laying the groundwork that makes you impossible to stop in the long run. People underestimate you because you don’t announce yourself, and that is exactly your advantage. You carry your power without showing off, and when you finally bloom, there’s nobody in Kanto who can match you.

Fierce, ambitious, and burning with a purpose that never goes out. You came into this world with something to prove, and every Gym badge, every victory, every hard loss only adds fuel. You push harder than anyone around you and ask your team to rise with you — and somehow, they always do. The flame on your tail is not just a warning; it’s a promise. That the fire inside you will not dim until you’ve become everything you were always meant to be.

Cool under pressure and fiercely loyal to the people and Pokémon around you. You adapt without losing yourself — like water, you find a path through every obstacle without needing to smash through it. Friends know they can count on you when it matters, and your quiet steadiness has carried more than one battle that looked already lost. You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. Your presence is enough, and the people around you have always known it.

Magnetic, spirited, and impossible not to root for. You don’t have a master plan — you have something rarer: a spark that draws people and Pokémon to your side and makes them believe the journey is worth it. You face every challenge with a grin and a bolt of energy that refuses to be extinguished. The world of Pokémon was made for trainers like you — the ones who find the adventure in every tall patch of grass, every stranger on the road, every thunderstorm over the plains.

These go in Pokedex order, but it’s interesting that out of all 1,025 Pokemon released so far, excluding Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ starters, only 39 of them have just one vote. And in time, as more users find Mixel34P’s post, those Pokemon with just one fan will have much more, showing that truly every Pokemon is someone’s favorite. Furthermore, one can click on the Pokedex section of the website and on specific Pokemon to also find the reasons why they are loved, which can make for quite a heartwarming read.
