Pokemon fans will soon be able to buy an official Snorlax necklace priced at more than $6,000. The luxury item is launching as part of the Pokemon franchise’s ongoing anniversary celebrations.
Pokemon officially turned 30 on February 27, 2026. The Pokemon Company has marked the milestone with a year-long campaign featuring commemorative products, events, and announcements. Many of those have already taken place throughout the first half of 2026, with even more planned through the end of the year. The festivities have spanned nearly every part of the franchise, including the upcoming Pokemon 30th Celebration TCG set.
New Pokemon Snorlax Necklace Offers 18-Karat Gold Priced at $6,100
The latest anniversary release is a five-piece necklace collection unveiled by Japanese character jewelry company U-Treasure on July 10. The collection’s most expensive necklace features Snorlax as a 360-degree sculpture crafted from 18-karat yellow gold. It costs ¥990,000 including tax, or roughly $6,100 based on the exchange rate at the time of its announcement. That figure places it in a far higher tier than previous licensed jewelry offerings from The Pokemon Company, including the more affordable Pokemon King Ice necklace collection.
The substantial price tag stems entirely from the pendant’s high-purity gold construction. The Snorlax pendant itself is relatively small, measuring approximately 13.65mm (0.54″) tall, 15.6mm (0.61″) wide, and 9.8mm (0.39″) at its thickest point. It hangs from a yellow-gold chain measuring 54cm to 55cm (21.3″–21.7″), with an adjustment ring that can shorten it to about 50cm (19.7″). A separate charm near the back of the chain is engraved with the franchise’s 30th-anniversary logo. According to the official U-Treasure product listing, preorders for the Snorlax necklace model will remain open through August 14, unless fan demand exceeds production capacity sooner. The Japanese company did not specify that capacity. No conventional release date has been announced, but orders are currently scheduled to begin shipping in late January 2027.
U-Treasure Has 4 More Pokemon Gold Necklaces on the Way
Snorlax is joined by four additional designs featuring Pikachu, Pikachu sitting on a Poke Ball, Magikarp, and Ditto. Their solid-gold versions cost between ¥286,000 (~$1,760) and ¥495,000 (~$3,050), making the ever-sleepy Pokemon’s variant of the pendant the most expensive option from the newly revealed collection. More affordable versions of all five anniversary necklaces are available for ¥33,000 (~$200) each. These alternatives are made from sterling silver with yellow-gold plating, giving them a similar appearance without the cost of solid 18-karat gold. Each version comes in a dedicated anniversary box with a commemorative jewelry cloth, reinforcing its status as a Pokemon collectible over standard fashion merchandise.
The five necklaces are not the first example of high-end jewelry that U-Treasure has authored in collaboration with The Pokemon Company. Back in March 2026, the company also launched an expanded line of official Pokemon wedding rings featuring additional character motifs and gemstones. Much like the upcoming necklaces, the collection was presented as part of the franchise’s 30th-anniversary celebrations. The U-Treasure line is officially only available in Japan, though that is unlikely to stop dedicated collectors with deep pockets, who have long imported exclusive products from the Far Eastern country.
