Pokemon Go’s Memories in Motion season is coming to an end soon, but the mobile game is wrapping it up with a variety of events and Pokemon debuts. This month will see the arrival of another Paldean Pokemon, Flittle, which will appear for the first time during the game’s Spring Marathon, while Mega Falinks is set to make its debut as part of a Super Mega Raid Day.
That’s not all that’s happening in the mobile game over the next few weeks. Pokemon Go will also host two Community Days in May, and a handful of Ultra Beasts and Mega Pokemon are returning to Raids. You can catch up on everything going on in the mobile game this month below.
May Raid Bosses
Pokemon Go’s Raid rotations are getting another refresh in May.
Various Ultra Beasts are returning to five-star Raids during the first half of the month, with the island guardians Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini set to follow at the end of May. Mega Raids, meanwhile, will rotate through Mega Camerupt, Mega Glalie, Mega Altaria, and Mega Medicham, while Shadow Cresselia will appear throughout the month as a Shadow Raid boss.

Shadow Entei Raid Day

Pokemon Go is kicking May off with a Shadow Raid Day on May 2.
From 2-5 PM local time, the legendary fire Pokemon Entei will appear as a Shadow Raid boss. As an added bonus, you’ll have increased odds of encountering a shiny variant during the event, and you’ll be able to receive up to six free Raid Passes by spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms.

- Remote Raid limit will increase to 20 (May 1-2)
Lechonk Community Day

Lechonk is scurrying into the spotlight for May’s Community Day, which takes place on May 9.
The hog Pokemon will appear in the wild more frequently from 2-5 PM local time. Not only is this a good chance to stock up on Lechonk candy, but you’ll also have increased odds of encountering a shiny variant or one with a special background.
Lechonk’s evolved form, Oikologne, will be able to learn an exclusive move during the event, as well. Each Lechonk that you evolve before 9 PM local time will know the ground-type Fast Attack Mud Slap upon evolving.
Finally, a handful of bonuses will be active during the event. Any eggs that you place in an Incubator during the event hours will hatch at a quarter of the distance they typically require. You’ll also earn double candy for catching Pokemon, and any Incense or Lure Modules that you use will remain active longer than usual.

- Incense will last for three hours (excluding Daily Adventure Incense)

Spring Marathon

Pokemon Go is hosting a Spring Marathon from May 12-18.
Throughout the event, certain Pokemon will hatch more frequently from 5 km eggs, including special variants of Pikachu, Togepi, and Happiny wearing flower crowns. You’ll also have your first chance to get the psychic Pokemon Flittle, which can be found through eggs or via the Go Pass.
On top of that, there will be event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks to complete, which will dole out various rewards including extra XP and encounters with other special Pokemon, like Eevee adorned with cherry blossoms.

Deino Community Day Classic

The dragon Pokemon Deino is returning for a Community Day Classic on May 16.
From 2-5 PM local time, Deino will appear in the wild much more frequently, and you’ll have increased odds of coming across a shiny one. In addition, Deino’s final form Hydreigon will be able to learn the Charged Attack Brutal Swing if you manage to evolve one before 9 PM local time.
A handful of bonuses will also be active throughout the event. You’ll earn triple XP each time you successfully catch a Pokemon, and any Incense or Lure Modules that you use will last longer than usual.

Mega Raid Day

Another new Mega-Evolved Pokemon is making its debut as part of Pokemon Go’s next Mega Raid Day, which takes place on May 23.
From 2-5 PM local time, Mega Falinks will appear in Super Mega Raids, an even more challenging tier of Raid battles. Each time you successfully complete one of these Raids, you’ll earn Mega Energy, as well as a chance to catch Falinks.
A few bonuses will also be available during the event. The number of Remote Raid Passes you can hold will be increased to 20, and you can get up to six free standard Raid Passes when you spin the Photo Disc at Gyms. There will also be Timed Research tasks to complete, which will offer various rewards including encounters with Mawile.
