Pokemon GO is officially teasing the next big Community Day event set to arrive in the game, hinting at Tinkatink as its featured Pokemon. The massively popular monster-catching mobile game has seen plenty of exciting events throughout recent weeks as the franchise kicks off its 30th anniversary celebrations, with a mix of new and old creatures available. Pokemon GO held its massive All Out event in early March, bringing back nearly every Pokemon ever added to the game as wild encounters. The mobile game also recently welcomed the newest edition of its popular Community Day events.
Pokemon GO‘s Community Days have been a staple of the game’s monthly calendar for nearly a decade, putting specific creatures in the spotlight. Each iteration of the monthly event puts one Pokemon in the starring role on one of its weekend days, offering increased spawn rates and special Charged Attacks for evolving the featured Pokemon. Pokemon GO recently held its March Community Day event, giving fans the chance to pick up popular Galar starter Scorbunny and its Shiny variant. Now, on the heels of March’s Community Day, Scopely is already preparing fans for the April edition of the event.
Pokemon GO officially shared a teaser for its next Community Day event via the game’s social media accounts. The trailer does not directly show the Pokemon that will be included in April’s Community Day, instead giving a sweeping shot of a cave illuminated by colorful gemstones. The video likely suggests that Tinkatink will be the spotlight Pokemon for Pokemon GO‘s next Community Day event, given the Gen 9 Pokemon was already teased during the reveal for the ongoing Memories in Motion season. Scopely has also already confirmed the date of the April 2026 Community Day, officially scheduled to run on April 11.

The inclusion of Tinkatink as the next featured Pokemon for Pokemon GO‘s Community Day should excite a large number of fans. The April event will feature increased spawn rates for both Tinkatink and its Shiny version, with roughly a 1-in-25 chance of finding a Shiny. Players evolving their Tinkatink into a Tinkaton during the event will also grant the Pokemon a powerful exclusive Charged Attack, likely to be the best competitive option for the Pokemon. Community Days typically bring benefits beyond the featured Pokemon as well, ranging from increased Stardust and Catch XP to special Research missions during the event.
Ahead of Tinkatink’s Community Day, Pokemon GO players are getting plenty of chances to add new Pokemon to their teams. Scopely recently revealed that Pokemon GO‘s Spotlight Hours will be making a return in late March, after initially being removed from Memories in Motion’s schedule. The mobile game will run daily Spotlight Hours from March 31 through April 6, featuring a different Electric-type Pokemon for each day of the event. Scopely is also set to end March with the addition of a brand-new Gigantamax Pokemon during the last weekend of the month, welcoming the debut of Gigantamax Pikachu to the game.
Pokemon GO‘s plethora of new events in March coincides with the game gearing up for a major anniversary of its own. July will mark ten years since the mobile game burst onto the scene in 2016, with significant fanfare and big changes in the works from Scopely and Niantic. Pokemon GO‘s VP of Product Michael Steranka recently spoke on building up Pokemon GO as a multi-generational game, aiming to improve everything from the new player experience to game balance in order to make the mobile game more accessible to players of all ages. As Pokemon GO celebrates its tenth anniversary, fans should have plenty to look forward to from the game’s future.
