Pokemon Now Has an Official Line of Wedding Rings

Pokemon Now Has an Official Line of Wedding Rings

Pokemon officially released its own line of wedding and engagement rings. Pokemon has sold rings based on certain characters in the past, but this is the first time that it has created rings with precious stones for couples.

For the past 30 years, Pokemon has captured the hearts of fans through various mediums, from a wide array of video games to a popular animated series. The franchise is also known for doing collaborations with different brands to give old and new fans unique products. Last year, Pokemon partnered with McDonald’s to create special Happy Meal toys and also to give out trading card packs. Most recently, Pokemon took over Japan’s Hanzomon train line, aka the purple line, to let passengers ride a limited-time Ditto train to promote Pokemon Pokopia.

Pokemon has also dabbled in various wearables, from affordable Uniqlo shirts featuring the Gen 1 Pokemon starters to really expensive Tiffany & Co. jewelry. For its latest drop, Pokemon worked with Japanese jewelry brand U-Treasure to create 21 designs for its newest ring collection. Wedding rings retail between ¥137,500 (around $867) to ¥170,500 (around $1,700), while engagement rings start at ¥335,500 (around $2,100). According to the official website, customers can also customize their rings based on their favorite Pokemon in four steps:

  1. Choose a ring: U-Treasure has over 30 designs available, which come in various shapes and made with different materials.
  2. Choose a colored stone: There are 12 colored stones to choose from, including a Monster Ball Diamond (diamond created in the shape of a Poke Ball). U-Treasure recommends choosing one that matches the customer’s favorite Pokemon, or basing it on their birthstone. They could also choose based on the special meaning they associate with the stone.
  3. Choose a Pokemon logo: This is where customers choose the Pokemon symbol they want engraved on their ring/s. With 80 marks available, there’s bound to be one for every fan.
  4. Select ring size and engraving: Sizes run from 6 to 19. The final engraving can be the customer’s initials and the date of nuptials.

Probably the best part about the Pokemon x U-Treasure collection is that the rings are placed in special boxes. The default case is a beige box with two Pikachus printed on the lid. There’s also the Monster Ball Accessory Case, which is a Poke Ball ring box inspired by Professor Kukui’s proposal to Professor Burnet in Pokemon the Series, priced at ¥15,400 (around $97). However, due to the finite stocks of the Poke Ball box, purchases are limited to two per person.

Pokemon’s 30th Year Celebration Continues to Be Big

Pokemon celebrated its 30th year last February 27, 2026, but it feels like a year-long celebration with the amount of new collaborations and content that’s been announced and are expected to come out in the coming months. Pokemon Pokopia is the franchise’s biggest release to date, selling over 2.2 million copies within the first four days of release thanks to its adorable gameplay and characters. Additionally, Pokemon announced its upcoming games, Pokemon Winds and Waves, which will launch next year. The titles’ Gen 10 starters, Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua, have already captured the hearts of fans.

Pokemon fans must keep their eyes peeled for other drops that will be revealed soon. Pokemon TCG has exciting releases coming out this year, including the Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising set in May, which will feature Mega Greninja EX, Mega Pyroar EX, Mega Floette EX, and Mega Dragalge EX. There have also been rumors of three new LEGO sets reportedly dropping in August this year, which have yet to be confirmed by both companies.
