Pokemon Pokopia Announces Limited Time Event and Special Prizes

The latest limited-time event is on the way for Pokemon Pokopia, putting an Unova Pokemon back into the spotlight, while offering a new contest with special prizes. Despite being a fairly straightforward life-sim style experience, Pokemon Pokopia has continued to keep the game fresh by adding special limited-time events periodically for players to check out, while bigger DLC is on the horizon.

It’s fair to say that Pokemon Pokopia has been a surprise hit for Nintendo, with the game hitting a massive sales milestone in just 4 days and ultimately helping Koei Techmo secure record profits. The success and popularity of the game has also led to consistent updates to add features and make quality of life improvements, while new content through in-game events and upcoming DLC aim to keep the player base coming back and logging in. The latest event is kicking off on July 19 and brings with it new rewards for players to earn.

Pokemon Pokopia Announces Zorua’s Hide and Seek Event

  • July 19, 2026 – July 27, 2026

In a new post on social media, the official Pokemon account revealed the latest limited-time event is arriving on July 19 and running for a week. Zorua’s Hide-and-Sneak Contest lets players participate in a game of hide and seek to win special in-game prizes and even a new trophy. Similar to past Pokemon Pokopia events, players will need to advance the story to a point where they have at least 1 Pokemon Center fully rebuilt in order for Zorua to show up. Alternatively, players can utilize the Cloud Islands zone in Pokemon Pokopia or join another’s world to participate in the contest together. Whoever is able to complete the event with the fastest time among all participants will set the town or Cloud Island’s best record.

Unfortunately, this latest event doesn’t seem to introduce any new Pokemon to the game, though fans won’t have to wait too long to see an influx of new additions. While players have already seen the likes of Jirachi during the Wish event in Pokopia, there’s a lot more on the horizon, including the mythical creature known as Manaphy. The Generation 4 Mythical Water-type was teased very briefly at the end of the DLC reveal for Pokomon Pokopia, seemingly swimming across the screen.

Speaking of the DLC, fans have been requesting some sort of major DLC for the popular game and Nintendo finally confirmed things back in June during the Direct event. The expansion pass for Pokemon Pokopia revealed 3 upcoming packs, with the first, known as Bubbly Basin, launching in August. The DLC content adds a new underwater town for players to renovate, also adding in new Pokemon to interact with. Alongside Bubbly Basin, Pokemon Pokopia is getting a free update which gives players the ability to use Dive, allowing them to explore underwater sections and build towns and cities there. Not much is yet known about DLC packs 2 and 3, with the former set to add “additional new features” at the end of 2026 and the latter set to add a new town sometime in 2027.
