Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have an extremely rare Pokemon up for grabs, but players only have until August 6 to claim it before it’s gone forever. While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are still getting content routinely, many fans are looking forward to the next iteration of the franchise, which is Pokemon Winds and Waves. Unfortunately, Pokemon Gen 10 games won’t be released this year, and rumors point to a late 2027 launch for Pokemon Winds and Waves. What follows is that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will still get new events and exclusive critters to catch for a while.
Now, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet announced new events for August 2026 through the start of September, including 7-Star Tera Raids for popular Pokemon like Glimmora, Annihilape, Farigiraf, and Kingambit. On top of that, there will be Mass Outbreaks dedicated to all the pre-evolutions of these Pokemon. Glimmet and Glimmora will be the only Pokemon with increased shiny odds, whereas the others all have increased odds of having specific Marks. These events are starting on August 7, just after the end of the current events, including a special version of Magikarp.
Last Chance to Get Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Mightiest Mark Magikarp
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s Summer 2026 events include a 7-Star Tera Raid Magikarp that comes with the Mightiest Mark, and this is the only way to get this special version of the Pokemon before it goes away on August 6. Given how Gen 9 games are getting final re-runs of past events, this is likely the last time that Mightiest Mark Magikarp is available. As such, fans who haven’t gotten one yet should get one from the current 7-Star Tera Raid event before it ends in just three days. One of the best counters to easily beat the 7-Star Magikarp Tera Raid solo is Dragalge with Life Orb, using Acid Spray three times, one attack cheer, and then Tera Dragon Draco Meteor to one-shot Magikarp.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Players Have One Final Chance to Get Two Rare DLC Pokemon
On top of the Magikarp event, players also have one last chance to get two rare Pokemon from The Teal Mask DLC, which also come from an ongoing event that ends on August 6. These are White-Striped Basculin and Feebas, which are normally very rare finds in Kitakami. Currently, there are guaranteed Mass Outbreaks for them in Kitakami, and players can easily get rare versions of these critters with special Marks, and they can even be shiny. However, these special Mass Outbreaks are going to be removed on August 6. It’s worth noting that both the Magikarp event and the Mass Outbreaks can be kept in the game past August 6 if fans need more time, but they need to go online at least once before the events end, and then make sure they are offline on August 7 and thereafter.
As it stands, the upcoming events will start with a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 7-Star Tera Raid and Mass Outbreaks for Glimmora and Glimmet on August 7 through August 13. Then, two more events will be released weekly, from August 14 to August 20, then from August 21 to August 27, and finally from August 28 to September 3.
Celebrations for the franchise’s 30th anniversary continue across multiple games. Pokemon Pokopia is releasing the Bubbly Basin DLC on August 5, more events are coming for Pokemon GO, and Pokemon TCG is launching the special 30th anniversary set.
