Pokemon TCG Live has officially revealed the details for the next big update coming to the game in early November 2026, coinciding with the launch of Delta Reign. This newest set will be the final expansion releasing for the Pokemon TCG and Pokemon TCG Live in 2026.
The massively popular trading card adaptation of the monster-catching franchise has debuted plenty of exciting sets throughout 2026. Pokemon TCG kicked off the year with the release of Ascended Heroes, which brought a multitude of reprints and highly sought-after full-art cards, like the Special Illustration Rare Pikachu ex and Mega Gengar ex. The game has already welcomed the release of three core booster sets, debuting Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, and Pitch Black, alongside the 30th Celebration set to commemorate three decades of Pokemon. Now, Pokemon TCG Live is getting ready to add its final set of the year.
Pokemon TCG Live Reveals Version 1.44.0 Patch Notes
Pokemon TCG Live has revealed the patch notes for the game’s Version 1.44.0 update, releasing on November 3. The addition of Delta Reign is set to be the biggest highlight of the next TCG Live patch, allowing fans to play with cards before they become tournament-legal in the physical Pokemon TCG. The online client is adding a long-requested feature with the update, finally allowing players to challenge their friends to matches in the game’s Expanded format. TCG Live is also introducing a new inbox system for friend invites and match requests, allowing players to easily manage the game’s social content.

Pokemon TCG Live‘s next update will push a wide variety of bug fixes alongside its new content. Multiple individual cards received fixes in the Version 1.44.0 update, including Night Stretcher causing the game to become unresponsive, while attacks like Espathra’s Mystical Eyes and Team Rocket’s Nidorina’s Dark Awakening from the Destined Rivals expansion were not functioning as intended. General fixes to the game also addressed issues with the Deck Editor, including filtering by expansions causing the game to take longer to load and Build and Battle’s search options appearing empty.
The addition of Delta Reign to Pokemon TCG Live will coincide with the launch of a brand-new battle pass for the game. Each season of Pokemon TCG Live‘s battle pass typically includes a variety of rewards, ranging from free packs and full-art cards to cosmetics for the player avatar. The game is also expected to gift players with some new decks to play in Pokemon TCG Live, implementing cards from Delta Reign, such as the new Mega Rayquaza ex and Zinnia’s Trust. Pokemon TCG Live will officially go offline for maintenance to implement the Delta Reign patch at 8:00 AM PST on November 3.
The Pokemon Company has already given fans an early look at what’s to come for the TCG in 2027. Flowing Fists will release on February 5 as the first full expansion of the year, featuring Mega Lucario Z ex as the spotlight Pokemon and marking the first Z Mega Evolution added to the TCG. The trading card game also revealed another new ex Pokemon being added in Flowing Fists during the 2026 PokemonXP convention, showcasing Sigilyph ex with the powerful Mega Protection ability, which prevents all damage from Mega Pokemon. Pokemon TCG Live and the card game as a whole are in for a big year in 2027, with lots of exciting cards coming soon.
