Pokemon Pokopia will soon be giving players the chance to meet yet another Mythical Pokemon. Pokemon Pokopia features hundreds of Pokemon for players to meet and interact with, summoned by creating specific habitats that attract them. Pokopia even features some of the rarest Pokemon in existence — Legendary and Mythical Pokemon.

Pokopia gives players the chance to meet multiple Legendaries and Mythicals from across all generations. These Pokemon are often tied to the main story in any given town, and oftentimes require a lot more effort to recruit than the regular Pokemon that are featured in the game. The same will likely be true for the next Mythical Pokemon that is coming to Pokopia, which was teased in the trailer announcing the game’s first paid DLC.

Pokopia All But Confirms 25 DLC Pokemon

By nature of what the life sim Pokopia is, a handful of Pokemon are all but confirmed to appear as upcoming DLC (or event Pokemon).

Pokopia is Adding Manaphy

It’s long been assumed that Pokopia would have DLC, and the first expansion was finally announced at the latest Nintendo Direct event. Pokopia‘s Expansion Pass costs $34.99 and includes three paid expansions. The first of these expansions will release in August in the form of a brand-new town called Bubbly Basin. The trailer revealing Bubbly Basin ended with a brief look at Manaphy, the Generation 4 Mythical Water-type that will apparently be featured in the new DLC. Considering Manaphy is a Water-type and Bubbly Basin is underwater, it’s easy to see why Manaphy was picked to be featured in the new Pokopia DLC.

Pokopia‘s Bubbly Basin DLC will coincide with a free update that adds Dive to Ditto’s suite of abilities. Using Dive, Pokopia players will be able to explore underwater and even build their own underwater structures if they so choose. Certain Pokemon’s habitats are underwater as well, and so one has to imagine that will hold true for Manaphy, but at this stage we don’t know exactly how it will be summoned in the DLC. Pokopia players will likely have to wait for the DLC to drop in August to learn more about how to acquire Manaphy in the game.

Manaphy being added as part of the Bubbly Basin DLC sets a precedent for future DLC to also add new Legendaries and Mythicals to Pokopia. The second Pokopia DLC is scheduled to drop in late 2026, but isn’t expected to add a new town, so chances are the next time fans can expect a new Mythical or Legendary to be added is when the third part of the Expansion Pass releases in 2027. A more specific release date wasn’t announced, so fans will likely have to wait for next year to learn more.

Regardless, it’s exciting that Pokopia is getting substantial new DLC. Bubbly Basin adding Manaphy to the mix should be a good reason for Pokopia players to dive back into the game and check out the new content. And even if you aren’t someone that’s interested in Bubbly Basin or the paid Expansion Pass, the Dive ability is being added completely free of charge, and should give you a ton more options when it comes to existing towns that are surrounded by water.
