“Probably the Biggest Spit in the Face I’ve Ever Seen” Jynxzi Throws Serious Shade at Clash Royale Developer Supercell

Popular Twitch streamer Jynxzi is unhappy with how developer Supercell has gone about celebrating Clash Royale‘s strong 2025 numbers, highlighting that the company forgot to thank streamers for such a successful year. Clash Royale is nearly a decade old now, but it saw a big resurgence of players last year, with many citing Jynxzi as the main Twitch streamer who is responsible for bringing the game back into the spotlight.

Over the years, Jynxzi has become one of the most popular Twitch streamers on the platform. As the eighth most-subscribed streamer on Twitch, he draws an incredibly large audience. He first got his start streaming Rainbow Six Siege, but last year saw a pivot as he began leaning harder into making Clash Royale content. Clash Royale‘s falling player numbers suddenly saw a major uptick last year once Jynxzi started streaming, seemingly bringing the game back from a decline that looked like it had no end in sight.

Hasan Piker Issues Statement After Being Banned on Twitch

Controversial streamer Hasan Piker issues a statement after receiving his first Twitch ban of 2026 at the tail end of January.

Supercell Celebrates Clash Royale’s “Historic Year” But Forgets to Thank Jynxzi and Other Streamers

In the official post from Supercell, the developer acknowledges and thanks the team behind the game, but Jynxzi and other influencers are left out. Jynxzi simply shared the post and stated it was “probably the biggest spit in the face I’ve ever seen.” According to Supercell’s data, Clash Royale saw a 500% increase in brand-new players. That’s definitely data worth celebrating, but Jynxzi and many of his fans and colleagues believe that the developer failed to give credit where it’s due. In the past, players have criticized Clash Royale updates for hurting the experience. These controversial decisions continued to drive player counts down, which makes 2025’s increase even more notable.

At the time of writing this article, there are over 2,000 comments on Jynxzi’s tweet. Many have agreed that Supercell should give him credit, but there are also some who think Jynxzi calling out Supercell is unwarranted. Even YouTube superstar MrBeast jumped in on the discourse, telling Jynxzi that his Clash Royale content is the only reason he started playing the game again. There have also been comparisons between how Supercell and Ubisoft have celebrated the growth of a game after Jynxzi’s involvement. In the past, Ubisoft has been quite vocal about its appreciation for Jynxzi and the attention he has brought to Rainbow Six Siege. Because of Supercell’s lack of acknowledgment regarding Jynxzi and other streamers, there are even some fans who are threatening to step away from Clash Royale until he’s given the credit they believe he deserves.

Jynxzi is One of Clash Royale’s Biggest Influencers

Although there could be several factors that brought new players to Clash Royale, it’s hard to ignore the impact that streamers have on gaming. Jynxzi has put Clash Royale in front of a fresh audience, so it only makes sense for many of those viewers to be inspired to make their own accounts and see what the game is all about. Only time will tell if Supercell decides to mention Jynxzi in future Clash Royale news.

The continuing influence that streamers have on the industry is fascinating. From TheBurntPeanut’s ARC Raiders streams to Fortnite‘s collaborations with Ninja, streamers have become the new celebrities of gaming over the years. Jynxzi putting a spotlight on Clash Royale is definitely helpful to the game, but the work of Supercell’s developers is also deeply important. Regardless of the inspiration behind Clash Royale‘s major bump in players, a 500% increase in newcomers is mind-blowing. As the year continues, it will be interesting to see if Clash Royale is able to hold onto that surge or if the game’s player numbers will begin to dip again if Jynxzi decides to move on to a different game.
