Signalis, meanwhile, is a single-player survival-horror game inspired by the classics of the genre, but with a sci-fi twist. All things considered, the PS Plus August 2026 lineup was one of the strongest we’ve seen all year, especially since Big Walk is one of the highest-rated new game releases of 2026 so far.

Dealabs is an extremely reliable source, and while there may be some regional differences, it seems as though PS Plus subscribers can count on the free games for September 2026 to be Sniper Elite: Resistance, Chained Echoes, and Wobbly Life.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is a third-person tactical shooter game that was originally released in 2025 to somewhat mixed reviews, while Wobbly Life is an open world physics sandbox game. The real crown jewel of the PS Plus September 2026 leaked lineup is definitely Chained Echoes, though. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, Chained Echoes is a critically-acclaimed turn-based RPG inspired by SNES-era Square Enix titles like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6. It’s a remarkable adventure and should be an incredible addition to the PS Plus lineup.
Any PS Plus subscribers that enjoy Chained Echoes should note that the game has DLC available for $9.99. The Ashes of Elrant expansion adds new areas to explore, enemies to fight, and a new playable character. Ashes of Elrant story takes place before the end of the base game, so anyone jumping into Chained Echoes for the first time that wants the full experience should consider picking it up after they clame the base game through PS Plus.
The free PS Plus games for September 2026 will go live on Tuesday, September 1. That same day, PS Plus subscribers will lose access to the August 2026 free games, so anyone interested should be sure to claim them now. After September 1, the next day that PS Plus subscribers will want to keep an eye on is Tuesday, September 15. That day will see a handful of games leave the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus at the same time that new titles are added.
