PS Plus Subscribers Are Running Out of Time to Claim 3 Games for Free

PlayStation Plus subscribers have just two more days as of this writing to claim their free games for January 2026. All three titles are available until February 2, when they will be replaced with another, even larger batch of PS Plus freebies.

This month’s free PS Plus games have been up for grabs since January 6. The offerings include Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, Need for Speed Unbound, and Core Keeper.

PS5 Has 4 New Free Downloads You Should Check Out, No PS Plus Required

PlayStation users looking to try out some upcoming games and save some money can play snippets of these four games without needing PS Plus.

The Next PS Plus Freebie Rotation Is Just Around the Corner

As is tradition, Sony is scheduled to rotate its current selection of monthly PS Plus freebies on the first Tuesday of next month. In this particular instance, that day falls on February 3, which makes February 2 the last opportunity to claim the PS Plus monthly games for January 2026.

Free PS Plus Games for January 2026

The January 2026 free games are available to claim until February 2.

As is often the case, the January 2026 freebies are a fairly varied bunch: Core Keeper is a system-driven sandbox survival game, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a family-friendly action adventure featuring iconic Disney characters, and Need for Speed Unbound is a big-budget arcade racer with in-depth vehicle customization options. Core Keeper stands above the rest in terms of critical acclaim, boasting an 87 average rating on OpenCritic, which places it in the top 2% of highest-scoring titles in the aggregator’s database. It’s also one of the highest-rated PS Plus freebies ever, both in terms of professional reviews and PS Store ratings.

By contrast, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Need for Speed Unbound have both landed in the mid-70s range on OpenCritic. However, the former—which is not an original game but a remake of the 2010 Wii title Epic Mickey—has achieved significantly stronger user reception on the PS Store, where it currently holds a 4.38-star rating compared with Need for Speed Unbound’s 3.08 stars. Core Keeper also differentiates itself from the other two by virtue of offering co-op.

The Next Batch of PS Plus Monthly Games One-Ups the January 2026 Lineup

Looking ahead, the PS Plus free games for February 2026 will literally one-up this month’s lineup by having one more title. The next selection of freebies will comprise Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Undisputed. Outside of holiday specials, PS Plus subscribers can typically claim three titles in a given month. Sony has not provided any official reasoning for why the February 2026 lineup will be larger than usual.

The February 2026 freebies will be available to PS Plus subscribers from February 3 to March 2.

Quantity aside, the January and February 2026 lineups are comparable in terms of both critical acclaim and player reviews. This month’s lineup averaged a PS Store rating of 4.07 stars, as well as a 79 score on OpenCritic. Conversely, the four February 2026 freebies have an average player rating of 3.99 stars, paired with a 79 OpenCritic score. Of the four upcoming titles, only Steel City Interactive’s boxing game Undisputed supports co-op multiplayer. The PS Plus free games for February 2026 are valued at $156.96, based on their full retail prices. For reference, the retail value of the January lineup is $149.97.
