PS5 is Getting a Brand-New Stardew Valley-Like Farming Sim Game on September 24

Cozy farming games continue to be one of the biggest cornerstones of the gaming industry, and another Stardew Valley-like game seeks to put its own spin on the formula for PS5 players in September 2026. That’s to say nothing of the recently released Moonlight Peaks or the upcoming release of Grave Seasons in August either, ensuring there’s a solid new farming sim each month (if they all land). The latest upcoming farming sim takes players to a summer camp where, along the way, players meet colorful cast of characters, build friendships, and deal with the everyday drama alongside their tasks.

The upcoming PS5 farming sim in question, Farming Camp, tells the story of a young Alessandra before she becomes the renowned Evertree Farmer, almost flashback-style like any good summer camp story. Players will experience her early days at Evertree Farming Camp, where she must learn the basics of farming while competing to become the best farmer at camp.

PS5 Release Date for New Farming Sim Farming Camp

Developer Amata Games has confirmed that Farming Camp will launch on September 24 for PlayStation 5 consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam), and Xbox Series X/S. The release date puts the game right in the middle of one of the busiest months on the gaming calendar this year, with major releases and highly anticipated games slated for release in September. Examples include, but are certainly not limited to, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Marvel’s Wolverine, Control Resonant, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. However, there’s always room for cozy games, and Farming Camp could deliver a more soothing vibe amid the chaos of the gaming season.

The summer camp detail is where it stands out from other farming sims too, as Farming Camp combines traditional farming gameplay with a stronger focus on in-game teamwork; unfortunately, no such co-op farming sim gameplay has been confirmed. Players will instead manage their farm alongside two other young farmers, each with their own personalities and playstyles. Farming Camp players can assign chores, solve problems, maintain the camp, and build friendships while working toward becoming the top farming team.

The game also expands beyond simply planting crops and taking care of animals, beyond the milk and bread of the farming sim genre. Players will earn points by completing chores, attending classes, tackling missions, and keeping the camp running smoothly, adding more general simulation and management gameplay to the mix. There are also a variety of mini-games to break up the daily routine, including challenges like removing pests, chopping wood, cooking meals, and more.

With its mix of farming, friendships, competition, and summer camp chaos, Farming Camp looks like an interesting twist on the cozy life sim genre. While games like Stardew Valley helped define modern farming games, this upcoming release trades the quiet countryside for something a little more youthful, and it’ll be interesting to see what else is shown off for Farming Camp between now and its September 24 release.
